Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Crimson Lake Provincial Park adventure.
Discover Crimson Lake Provincial Park's year-round camping and scenic trails.
A popular water destination, Crimson Lake Provincial Park has two campgrounds within its forested, lakeside, and parkland areas. The larger campground bears the name of the park and is fully serviced with plenty of amenities, a playground, an amphitheatre for interpretive programming, and a shop. The smaller Twin Lakes Campground is popular with campers who want to go fishing for lake trout and perch, but don’t need much else. The park’s location in the foothills of the Canadian Rockies makes for relatively low-elevation multi-use trails that crisscross the park.
The best time to visit Crimson Lake Provincial Park is during the summer for warm weather activities, and winter for a snowy escape. Summer offers swimming and boating, while winter boasts ice fishing and skating. Off-season visits provide a peaceful atmosphere but come prepared, as some services are reduced.
