We live in our eco-friendly straw bale house on the property, and the forest behind can welcome you. We've prepared a flat space for setting up a tent in the heart of the forest with a view of the lake; you'll be very secluded! Access to an outdoor compost toilet is available at all times. Access to the wild lake out back with canoes on-site. Access to the fire pit. Access to numerous hiking trails nearby. Come and enjoy a traditional/rustic camping experience on the mighty Ottawa river. Be sure to bring your water shoes and a canoe or kayak, or you may rent one of ours. C-O-G is located on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, east of the bridge that passes over from Hawkesbury, Ontario. This beautiful (mostly) deciduous forest (situated on both sides of the 344/Rte Des Outaouais), has been in the family for generations. The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking and more, with many other outdoor tourism attractions (white water rafting ~15kms, Parc Omega (zoo)) located nearby. By paddle boat, canoe, or other similar shallow depth water craft, one can head upriver, around an island, and loop back through the remaining historic canal. ...It's a historic lazy river! Many amenities are only 1-3km away, such as a gas station (with fast charging), a grocery store and many restaurants including a Tim Hortons and McDonalds. A little History... Our property has played host to a small portion of the rich history of this area which included three railway tracks, a canal and a lock. The railway beds remain and the lock has simply been flooded over. Following the war of 1812, three Ottawa river canal systems were constructed between 1819 and 1833 to bypass the Long Sault Rapids on the Ottawa river. These canals were in use until 1961 when a large portion of the canal system was submerged due to the construction of a hydro-electric dam (~22kms downriver) at Carillion. As a result, the river level at our property rose high enough to submerge the top of the lock walls by ~3.5 feet. This submerged lock is located a few hundred feet offshore and can be seen using Google Earth as it measures 50' x 300' in size. Once you have a good idea where it is, throw on your water shoes and a life jacket and enjoy an interesting experience of walking on the walls of a submerged lock.

To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! We transform our product at the farm and sell them at the farm too. We also have a soccer field, volleyball court and horseshoe pit. * Version française * Bienvenue à notre ferme! Pour avoir une table champêtre, une bonne majorité des produits servis au restaurant doit provenir de la ferme. C'est pourquoi vous allez retrouver sur place une ferme avec des sangliers, des oies, des canards, des pintades, des faisans, des chapons, des dindes et plusieurs autres animaux! We offer full sun, partial sun and totally shaded sites, ensuring you will find your perfect spot!Our park has tons of fun activities to engage in, such as volleyball, badminton, basketball, a horseshoe pit, and shuffleboard. We are also close to Jessup’s Falls Conservation Area where you can launch a boat and spend the day fishing for walleye, pike, and smallmouth bass. The Alfred Bog is 10 minutes away, which at 10,000 acres is the largest peak bog in Southern Ontario! There, you can hike and explore the community of animals, plants and birds. Adventure seekers can visit the nearby Ottawa River and experience white water rafting with one of the many local outfitters. Our park staff are bilingual in French and English and can easily communicate with our guests in both languages. We can’t wait for you to join us at our resort, where countless fun activities are waiting for you!

Come and enjoy a traditional/rustic camping experience on the mighty Ottawa river. Be sure to bring your water shoes and a canoe or kayak, or you may rent one of ours. C-O-G is located on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, east of the bridge that passes over from Hawkesbury, Ontario. This beautiful (mostly) deciduous forest (situated on both sides of the 344/Rte Des Outaouais), has been in the family for generations. The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, hiking and more, with many other outdoor tourism attractions (white water rafting ~15kms, Parc Omega (zoo)) located nearby. By paddle boat, canoe, or other similar shallow depth water craft, one can head upriver, around an island, and loop back through the remaining historic canal. ...It's a historic lazy river! Many amenities are only 1-3km away, such as a gas station (with fast charging), a grocery store and many restaurants including a Tim Hortons and McDonalds. A little History... Our property has played host to a small portion of the rich history of this area which included three railway tracks, a canal and a lock. The railway beds remain and the lock has simply been flooded over. Following the war of 1812, three Ottawa river canal systems were constructed between 1819 and 1833 to bypass the Long Sault Rapids on the Ottawa river. These canals were in use until 1961 when a large portion of the canal system was submerged due to the construction of a hydro-electric dam (~22kms downriver) at Carillion. As a result, the river level at our property rose high enough to submerge the top of the lock walls by ~3.5 feet. This submerged lock is located a few hundred feet offshore and can be seen using Google Earth as it measures 50' x 300' in size. Once you have a good idea where it is, throw on your water shoes and a life jacket and enjoy an interesting experience of walking on the walls of a submerged lock.

At our place, it's public land, so we aim to offer access as simply as possible. We'd love to chat with you around the fire, or give you space to relax, depending on your needs. We live in our eco-friendly straw bale house on the property, and the forest behind can welcome you. We've prepared a flat space for setting up a tent in the heart of the forest with a view of the lake; you'll be very secluded! Access to an outdoor compost toilet is available at all times. Access to the wild lake out back with canoes on-site. Access to the fire pit. Access to numerous hiking trails nearby. If money is an issue, we can work out help in the garden or elsewhere in exchange for your campsite. Looking forward to meeting you!
