Beautiful green, spacious, and quiet campground—felt like true off-road camping away from the city and noise. Lots of trees, friendly pets near the property, plenty of wood, and fresh eggs were a nice touch. We had amazing camping in the rain under our air tent ..Richard and Guillaume are amazing hosts. Highly recommend!! If you are looking for a peaceful and authentic outdoor experience, this is the perfect spot. can’t wait to come back for next camping here. :)

My two-night stay at Brian’s property was absolutely incredible! As my first time camping alone, I couldn’t have asked for a more welcoming and supportive host. Brian and his lovely family (his wife and kids) were so kind and made me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure I had the best experience possible. Brian gave me a free tour of the property, showing me different plants, sharing his future projects, and even offering helpful tips. The care he puts into maintaining the land is evident everywhere. When I mentioned I might rent a kayak but later changed my mind, he generously let me use one for free—just one example of how thoughtful he is! The campsite itself was perfect—spacious, well-equipped (with a table, fire pit, wood, and parking), and each spot had a private, breathtaking view of the Ottawa River. Waking up to sunrise and falling asleep to sunset here was pure magic. There’s even a peaceful waterfall nearby, perfect for relaxing and listening to the soothing sounds of nature. The bathroom was clean and well-kept, which was a great bonus. Honestly, part of me wants to keep this place a secret so I can always have a spot to return to—because I *will* be back! If you’re looking for a serene, beautiful, and welcoming camping experience, Brian’s property is the place to be. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!"

A gorgeous spot next to the pond with lots of privacy, an extremely welcoming host who provided us with everything we needed, an adorable little dog (and chickens!) who kept us company for our morning coffee... Lovely and picturesque property, our host Moon couldn't have been nicer. We had ana amazing fire by the lake and camped. Moon was very accommodating with our last minute booking. Jack the dog was a nice treat too!

C’est vraiment parfait comme endroit pour décrocher sans faire des heures de route ! C’est calme et on peux se promener dans les chemins du terrain, le chien a adoré sa fin de semaine ! Nous avons bien profité du feu extérieur avec le bois inclus c’était génial !

Come and enjoy a traditional, rustic camping experience on the mighty Ottawa River! Bring your water shoes and a canoe or kayak (or you may rent one of ours) for an unforgettable adventure. Located on the Quebec side of the Ottawa River, east of the bridge that passes over from Hawkesbury, Ontario, this beautiful (mostly) deciduous forest is situated on both sides of the 344/Rte Des Outaouais. The 59 acre property (50 acres on land, ~9 acres of river/water) features scenic views, privacy and is host to many outdoor activities such as swimming, canoeing, kayaking, fishing and more. The Point... The main shared area "The Point", is the peninsula that the main roadway ends at (where the BBQ, kayaks and canoes are), this is a shared area for us and our guests to enjoy. The Point offers a large picnic table, a propane BBQ, comfortable seating, a large rock perfect for sunbathing, and a river view. It's an ideal spot for swimming and launching canoes, kayaks, or paddle-board river excursions, thanks to its shallow entry and rocky bottom. Adventurous visitors might choose to paddle upriver, around an island, and return through the remaining historic canal. For a more strenuous workout, consider paddling up the canal to the Grenville lighthouse and then drifting all the way back to camp with the river's current. Enjoy this historic, lazy river experience! Nearby Amenities... The Domaine de la Templerie is first and foremost a Table champêtre (farm to table). To have a rustic table, a good majority of the products served in the restaurant must come from the farm. This is why you will find on site a farm with wild boars, geese, ducks, guinea fowl, pheasants, capons, turkeys and many other animals! We transform our product at the farm and sell them at the farm too. We also have a soccer field, volleyball court and horseshoe pit. * Version française * Bienvenue à notre ferme! Nous sommes à environ 1h de Montréal, 45 min de la frontière Ontarienne et 20 min de la frontière des US. Situé sur un terrain de 153 acres, le Domaine de la templerie est en premier lieu, une table champêtre. Pour avoir une table champêtre, une bonne majorité des produits servis au restaurant doit provenir de la ferme. C'est pourquoi vous allez retrouver sur place une ferme avec des sangliers, des oies, des canards, des pintades, des faisans, des chapons, des dindes et plusieurs autres animaux! This is a peaceful place to enjoy the finer parts of doing nothing for as long as you see fit. Your cabins are designed and equipped to meet all your basic needs. The fun is up to you. Pets welcome, well behaved kids, too! Book direct at chimorefuges dot com (.calm!). It's cheaper, we have a full website including date search by cabin. We've been open for 15yrs, so we are not going to start cheating people now, so it's safe. Avoid bringing too much crap you wont need. What to bring: - Bedding (sleeping bags-pillows-sheets) - Bath towels Each Cabin Features: Extra super fast wi-fi, comfy mattresses, electricity, lights, small fridge, toaster, raclette machne, electric kettle, coffee maker, paper towels, fireplace, wood, kindling, paper towel and surface cleaner, outdoor firepit, BBQ, picnic table, hammocks and dimmable outdoor lighting. There is also a central kitchen building, heated, with all cooking and eating gear as well is bins to bring gear to your cabin. We ask that you return all items cleaned AND dried to the central building as close as to where you got them as possible. There is a stove with an oven, a large freezer and fridge, microwave and dish cleaning area. A large covered terrace with outdoor furniture and games. Batmignton/volleybell net and the natural forest to enjoy. The bathroom building is heated and has 2 toilets with a sink in one section and a large 4x5 family shower in a separate section. It's cleaned daily, modern and bright and close to all cabins. There are wheeled chariots in the parking area and just follow the lights up to your cabin. There are only 5 cabins on the 4 acre site, so your privacy is guaranteed. The stars are always impressive here, as well as the fireflies on the hill next to us in june/july/aug. Overview

Explore the vibrant natural wonderland just outside of Montréal from the comfort of your RV, campervan, or trailer. The scenic Parc national des Îles-de-Boucherville (Boucherville Islands National Park) consists of five islands along the St. Lawrence River, right next to Montréal, in an area full of hiking and cycling trails, birdwatching opportunities, and kayak rentals. The Molson RV area in the park's Grosbois Campground offers paved pads for trailers and motorhomes, plus picnic tables, a dump station, and restrooms. Another nearby option is Parc national d'Oka (Oka National Park) on the north shore of Lac des Deux Montagnes (Lake of Two Mountains). Hang out at Oka Beach, look out for wildlife in the wetlands, or rent a fat bike to ride the mechanically groomed trails, even in winter. Some RV campsites in the park (open from May to October) are fully serviced with water, electricity, and sewer hookups. Summer is the busiest time of year for RV camping around Montréal thanks to warm weather for outdoor activities, so book campground reservations in advance.
