This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Welcoming to all!!!!! So much to see and do in the area!

It is still a quiet, peaceful escape to the country and you can enjoy all of the amenities but there will be no veggie boxes this season and there are fewer animals to visit. We do have some items available such as honey and syrup. The farm is a 100-acre working livestock and organic mixed produce farm with picturesque views, miles of wooded trails, and a beautiful little fish pond. Fresh organic veggies and farm-fresh eggs are available seasonally. Guests are welcome to wander the trails, check out the pond and gardens, and have a guided tour to experience meeting the animals. Nearby are several conservation areas and access to the Bruce Trail. Walking, biking or horseback riding is very pleasant on the quiet country roads around. There are many local fairs and festivals in the surrounding villages, such as the Beeton Honey Festival and Tottenham Bluegrass Festival. We have three different listings, a cottage, a barn loft, and a tent/RV site. We look forward to hosting you!

The forest is a bird watcher’s and nature lover’s paradise. I have developed miles of flat groomed trails and a 3-acre pond (plus several bush ponds). The sites are spread around the pond and are close but not right beside it. There is an abundant amount of wildlife to explore: birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects and mammals call this home. There is a small swimming hole on the island but otherwise the pond is full of aquatic life. The sites and trails are maintained all year long and the forest is quiet and beautiful. I have planted over 3000 trees with the help of the Severn Sound Environmental Association. The forest is registered as a managed woodlot with the province and habitat preservation/restoration is the priority goal. Please DO NOT bring firewood for your visit. I have large bags of cured firewood that was sustainable harvested from the forest available. Invasive insects and disease can be transferred from imported wood. Guests are welcome to quietly explore the forest trails but are asked to stay on the trail. Many birds and animals nest in the forest. My campsite is family-friendly (and pet-friendly), and 420 friendly too. Guests can easily drive up to and park at all campsites. My camp site is tolerant and respectful of all humans, animals and things. The Yurtle structures were built from Hemlock trees that were cut from this forest and processed into boards, then engineered into unique camping huts. Large windows capture the glory of the surrounding forest and sun sets, while wood stoves warm campers on those cold days/nights. This is quite an honour, only 8 Newcomer Awards were given to the over 500,000 Hipcamp sites. Our 14 acre property is a quiet oasis on several biking trails (G2G, Cottonwood Road, Trans Canada Trail) and a very short drive to famous Elora (7 min) and St. Jacobs (20 min), access to several Grand River launch sites, many nearby hiking trails, and countless Mennonite farmers markets with fresh produce, baked goods, meats, cheeses, and preserves. There is really something for everyone around here. We have a beautiful green acreage with a picturesque pond, next to Cox Creek and privacy with open and treed space and the promise of gorgeous sunsets almost every night. We have fire pits, picnic tables, Muskoka chairs and plenty of firewood. There is plenty of space for tents, and/or RVs. Check out the individual listings for more details about each site. We strive to give you a tranquil experience in a beautiful space where you can enjoy relaxing days close to nature, have space to play games, have a paddle around the pond, or seek out the many surrounding activities. It truly is a " Hidden Oasis " . I really appreciated the quick response back from Laura to my inquiries and too the suggestions she gave for things we could do in the area during our stay. The setting could not have been nicer with large mature trees, a pond you could walk around and large clearing to gaze the stars at night fall. Comments already made about the large fire pit & welcoming large compositing outhouse and paddle boat (s) by the pond edge. Our boating Cat was absolutely fascinated with the pond and racing around the large cedars. Lots of reviews nothing not one negative thing could be said!! Perfect spot! Pretty secluded from other campers and makes you feel like you found a personal secret pond to have a fire next to. We stayed at #2 and loved the smell of thyme that was growing naturally!

This was a great location, really beautiful spot. It's secluded and quiet and they included some firewood to start which was really nice. The pond was smaller than expected, and we were hoping it had some fish but I think there was only 1 or two smaller fish in there. They have a paddleboat there which was nice and a small floating dock. Grass was cut very well and property maintained well, the drive in was pleasant. Instructions were sent clearly. Bathroom was clean and it was nice that they were selling firewood for a really affordable price.

Weekend Trip to The Farm
Elana and family were wonderful hosts! I booked a few days just to “get away” and reset, and this was a perfect spot to do so. The animals (mini donkeys, oh my goodness!, the goat who welcomed me alongside Elana, the ducks that swam around the pond…) and the “Enchanted Forest” were highlights. I would have stayed longer (much longer!) if I could, and hope to be back next year… maybe to see baby donkeys or Highland cows? :) Thanks so much for a lovely weekend.

It's a nice and scereen spot with lots of space. I wish I could have stayed a few days longer to just sit by the pond and play with fire lol. The host was really nice! He checked in on us all and was very accommodating. The bridge being out dosent show up on Google maps so pay close attention to the instructions to get there quicker. Had a great time! Would go again!😀

This site is awesome! The area was well maintained and clean. This definitely was a hidden oasis with the site being so close to the water. All facilities were as described. I met with the hosts and they were super friendly and welcoming!

Lovely private spot for camping! The hosts were nice and quick to respond to messages. The property was well kept and clean, including the outhouse. The other two sites were occupied on our first night but they were a decent distance away so it still felt fairly private. Would definitely recommend!

Woody and Elana were the kindest and most welcoming hosts, their camping area was absolutely stunning with the peaceful sounds of nature and animals. Their home and farm was the cutest and they have fresh eggs for sale which were amazing too! If you’re considering where to go camping I would wholeheartedly recommend camping here! Thank you both so much for the experience and welcoming ambiance!

Beautiful properly, well maintained, the sites are far away enough from each other not to have to worry about other campers, nice fire pit, Adirondack chairs, and picnic tables. Decent toilet.

I loved camping on Laura's land! We happened to be the only campers there at the time but the other sites were a great distance away and you have a lot of privacy. My dog was exhausted when we left and loved having the freedom to be off leash during the day. My kids loves the pond and the paddle boat. Site #2 had tons of shade. Can't wait to come back!

We had an amazing time, reflecting and relaxing. We stayed by the water and it was really beautiful listening to the water. The farm tour was awesome, I even got the help feed the pigs 🐷 which was really a highlight for me as they are one of my favourite animals. The donkey is the cute and so good looking and very well mannered. Frenchie and dumpling and the other goats are free range and super friendly! So many animals all well behaved! The cows were beautiful! Everything was beautiful and brings you back to earth! I would recommend this place anyone who loves animals and nature! If you don't like nature this place isn't for you, as you can meditate and reflect on your life to become one with nature. The family is super knowledgeable and very welcoming. I feel like they welcomed my partner and our dog in as apart of there family for the weekend! Just remember to bring a camping toilet and a table. This place deserves a 10 star rating out of 5!!!! Thank you for allowing us to have a beautiful weekend! And experience this amazing experience 💖🫶
