Inside, you'll find your queen bed in the loft at the top of a ladder. The tiny house is surrounded by trees, and the interior has a platform couch and bench for seating, tiny wood stove, tiny kitchen, "shower" area for sponge bathing, and a composting toilet. (There is no running water or electricity). We are stocked with all bedding, towels, dishware, tea, coffee, and a French press! You'll find a BBQ and camp stove for cooking on the deck - there's no fridge, but a cooler with ice packs will be provided. Battery packs are here for charging cell phones and laptops (with USB-C and USB). The tiny home comes complete with rechargeable lamps, battery powered lights, potable drinking and washing water, and WIFI! Consider this the most indoor camping experience you can have and still be out in the woods!
You'll want to be comfortable with making a fire and keeping warm in the winter months! The tiny stove will keep you warm on the coldest winter days, but you have to keep it going. :) In the winter months, we'll get the stove started to warm everything before you arrive (and provide you with kindling and wood). When cleaning out the ashes in the stove (if necessary,) please use the metal pail outside and place the ash-filled pail back on the concrete blocks. Please note that there is no other heat source.

We had a great stay at the Leo cabin at Agape Gardens! Our hosts were easy to communicate with and quick to answer any questions we had throughout our stay. The walking trail, beautiful cabin, and wood fired hot tub were highlights for us. It was an incredibly relaxing stay!

Weekend Trip to Agape Gardens - Nature Retreat
The off grid cabin was a really cozy and scenic experience! The cabin opens up to a lovely view of the surrounding hills and woods with a nice forest to walk on the property.
Spending the evening in? They have a wonderful sauna, cold plunge and hot tub area with amazing views of the night sky, great for a weekend getaway.

My partner and I LOVE staying here on our occasional trip up north! 20 Minutes from Gatineau Park and 35 minutes from Ottawa, it’s the perfect balance of time in the city and the beautiful countryside. Incredibly accommodating and kind hosts, it’s well worth a stay for any occasion :)

2 nights at Silver Shores Farm
The cabin was perfectly located with gorgeous views of Silver Lake. Site was very private and well maintained. Cabin was so cute and cozy offering all the comforts for a perfect glamping experience. Gazebo offered a dry spot to enjoy meals outdoors and the firepit was our gathering spot each night. Short walk brought us to the private beach site. Absolutely loved and would recommend 100%. Judith and her son were lovely hosts!

Such an impressive homestead that Jennie and family have created. Beautiful, quiet farmland with so many ammenities to choose from. I was traveling through on a road trip so it was amazing to find a place outside of the city to stay that was peaceful, beautiful and quiet. I enjoyed the Leo cabin with my dog and Jennie and family were very welcoming and accommodating. They set me up after a long day of traveling with a great sauna and cold plunge with great touches like eucalyptus and camomile tea. I enjoyed a quiet fire afterwards which set me up for a great nights sleep. I would highly recommend a stay at Agape Gardens!"

We loved our stay apart from the fact that it was very very hot du ring out trip, small curtains in the Windows would definitely help! If we had known, we would have brought something to put in the windows to block the Sun to enter, escpecially in the morning. Everything was clean and there is everything you need for your stay. It's a great peaceful place to enjoy and relax. We appreciated being able to go to the two nearby national parks, Silver Lake and Sharbot Lake. The owners are kind and accessible. Thank you for all, you have a wonderfull place!!! 🥰

Weekend Trip to Floating Bunkie
This is a beautiful spot! The owners are very lovely and communicative. Can’t really beat it for the price! The bunkie on the water is so nice. The bed is really comfy as well. Definitely bring lots of bug spray!! Also, if you’re not great with stairs then it’s not the best option, but otherwise it’s a great built in workout! The fishing was great there as well right off the dock. Sunsets are beautiful! And you see fireflies at night, which was a beautiful surprise! Thank you for the hospitality!

2 nights at Silver Shores Farm
Lovely friendly welcome, very cute cabin with everything you need, and a lovely view. Enjoyed paddling on silver lake and visiting the waterfall by kayak and on foot. I will say that it is very close to the trans Canada highway, so if you are looking for a silent retreat, pick the smaller cottage as it is sheltered from the traffic.

Weekend Trip to Ferme Lanthorn
We had such a wonderful time here! Mary made our stay so comfortable and really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. The bunky is very cozy and perfectly fits two people in my opinion. The property is also gorgeous. So much open space, lots of bird songs, and being around all the animals was a real treat. I captured a couple really beautiful and unique field recordings there as well thanks to the diversity of nature sounds. I can’t wait to come back here!!

2 nights at Ferme Lanthorn
The Green Room was the Perfect solo writer's retreat. The room is absolutely beautiful, with dark green walls, gorgeous antique furniture, and charming artwork. Thanks to the electric heating and kettle, I never had to worry about making or maintaining a fire, which left a lot more time and energy to read and write. The lighting was perfect as well, with bright wall sconces to illuminate the room at night, and a bedside lamp for more focused light/reading in bed.
Mary and family are very kind and hospitable, and also amazing at respecting boundries!! They took great care of me and the space, even letting me know before they let dogs out in case it would bug me. It felt confident that I would be left in peace as long as I wanted, but also that someone would be around if I needed anything.
Even the animals were great. The sheep and goats are very friendly, and good listeners if you find yourself wandering the property at night. The deer are somewhat shyer, but still delightful.
The only thing it was missing was running water, but this didn't bother me because I'm used to camping. Frankly, it was much fancier than I had anticipated. The composting toilet was lovely and modern, and came with clear instructions (in a fancy frame to boot). I recommend bringing baby wipes or other gentle dry-bathing material if you're going to do more than two nights.

I have a wonderful weekend at the Green Bunky! Mary gave me a tour of the farm when I arrived and I got to meet (and even feed!) the deer, goats and sheep.
The bunky was cute, cozy and peaceful. I was nice and warm all weekend and it had everything I needed.
Mary also gave me some directions for snowshoeing and I had had a great time traipsing around in the woods, checking out the frozen beaver pond and checking out the logging trail. I'm looking forward to coming back next winter!

I had a lovely stay at the Green Bunky and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for some quiet time surrounded by nature. The Bunky has everything you might need for a short stay and feels very cosy. I particularly enjoyed the quiet, the opportunity to go for a nature walk in the nearby forest, meeting the animals and Mary's kindness and friendliness.
