The cabin is located along the Saugeen River, just north of 700 acres of managed trails in Bruce County, Ontario. Our property is 85-acres (40 acres is farmed). We are only 20-minutes from beaches and world-class sunsets in Port Elgin, Saugeen Shores, and Southampton.  WINTER: Ski-In-Ski-Out. Road access is limited for extreme seclusion! The cabin is 1km off the main road. Plowing, if needed, will be at your own expense! HUNTERS WELCOME! 85-acres of Sugarbush. Next to 700 acres of public trails called Brant Tract. Please note, the people limit for the listing is 6 people. ***PACK IN, PACK OUT. Guests must take all garbage with them when they leave. Any trash left will result in a $50 charge per bag. Seriously. I had to sort through people's trash/recycling in the past. Not doing that again!!!

We had an awesome night in the bell tent! It was one of the most secluded sites we've ever stayed at. The tent is set back very far on the property, which made it feel like we had the whole place to ourselves. The weaving hiking trails were a great walk in the morning, and the viewpoints along the way were incredible. We'd definitely recommend staying and would love to come back!

"Nourished in Nature" is an accurate way to describe Kathleen's Tiny Tula cabin - it's such a cute and cozy cabin with running water, electricity, fridge, cooking tools, cozy firepit and more to make your getaway from the city so much more comfortable. Kathleen is a warm and friendly host and I enjoyed hearing all about the sweet rescues on the sanctuary! They were all so friendly and it was so relaxing to go out and visit/interact with them everyday during our stay. Would 100% recommend!

We stayed two nights at the cabin and had an incredible time: on a sunny day the sanctuary looks straight out of a Disney movie, with ducks, pot belly pig, cats, chickens, and shaggy Cindy (resident dog) roaming around. There’s also Angelina the turkey and Hank the goat who we got to meet and love. The cabin is tastefully decorated and very homey. It is like a tiny home, so perfect for a couple or two adults + a kid. Bed is very comfy and we slept well. The stairs up to the bed/loft is more like a steep ladder — if you have mobility issues it may be difficult. The little outdoor sink is perfect for washing up. The outhouse is right beside the cabin so do not need to walk far. The firepit, grounds and stargazing was the best part — we had a fire going both nights. There is a small charcoal grill for use, and electric stovetop inside the cabin. Water is potable via a foot pump. Kathleen was friendly, helpful, quick on communication and also gave us our space — the perfect host. If you love animals this is an ABSOLUTE GEM. We loved our stay and would come back in a heartbeat 💓 thank you for having us!

If you are planning for a nature retreat, you have to stay at Kathleen’s beautiful cabin. We absolutely loved her place. Our 2.5 years old daughter loved the place and all the friendly pets there. We stayed there for one night only, and it rained all day the first day, but the next morning we had an amazing time with the friendly turkey Angelina, the cats and the pigs. The cabin was beautiful and peaceful and we enjoyed the rain from inside. The outpost was clean as well. We did not face any problems with water or anything. Kathleen is an amazing host, we literally did not have to ask for anything, everything was so organized and the instructions were simple to follow. The thing we loved the most was her check-in and check-out time, unlike most other places, the timing here was very good! We highly recommend Kathleen’s cabin if you are two people or a couple with a small kid.

Beautiful and cozy space! Right near the lake, a walk down the road there, perfect place to swim and cool off on the summer days. Nice spot for campfires at night. Brought e-bikes and explored the back country roads but there’s nota of trails around as well to be discovered. Definitely recommend!

We made friends with many of the animals and they will be often thought of. The Tiny Cabin was more spacious than imagined. Jake was a great host! He was friendly and showed us around the chalet when we first arrived. The chalet was very well maintained with all the basic amenities needed for glamping. The site was very private and the property was beautiful. We brought our dog along and he had the time of his life being able to be off leash the entire time. Highly recommend, we will be returning.

R&R was such a restful time ☺️ the pond is crystal clear, it was like looking into a whole other world as a rowed across the water. The bunkie is secure, clean and slightly bigger than I expected. Renee & Randy we're wonderful hosts and extremely happy to assist if needed! There wasn't any reception for me and the river crossing is something to inquire about if your vehicle is low riding. I can definitely see myself visiting again ☺️

I enjoyed my stay at Sunset Pond. Very private, quiet and relaxing. Sophie and I enjoyed walks on the trails daily and taking dips in the pond. This would be a wonderful site in the fall as I prefer cooler weather and unfortunately stayed this time in a cooker of a heat wave. I will look at coming back for a couple of days then. I also didn't notice until later that the balloons said Happy Birthday. I appreciate the thought Renee and Randy!

We had the best time here! Jake met us on arrival to show us a few things and was so kind in giving us from fresh garlic he had grown and some home made strawberry jam (which was incredible)! The chalet its self did not disappoint it was so well equipped and clean! So many times we have gone places and felt like they were cleaner when we left than upon arrival so this was amazing! The shower was 10/10 and a nice treat it worked perfectly. This chalet really has it all, peace and quiet, beautiful trails and views, comfy bed, space inside and dog friendly! Jake was so lovely and attentive and really makes you feel at home, you can tell the care he has for this space everywhere you look. We are already planning when we can come back up again as this will be a repeat spot we come to! Thanks for sharing your slice of heaven with us and the pups!
