Nobody around for miles - LITERALLY! on site if you like to ride and camp all at the same place. Gorgeous and serene ! Pricing for trail rides - sleigh rides separate. You can also bring your own horses for horse camping we have a beautiful new facility to accommodate almost any equestrian need. Upon arrival you can safely park your car and we can if desired carry your gear and you pack to the camping acreage via our tractor or golf cart or simply walk yourself - it’s not far. Our outhouse is near the main house - we have access to a SOLIS X for an extra fee if you need WIFI. Farm fresh eggs also available to cook over your fire from our 12 new and amazing chickens ! Free of charge ... we will do anything possible to make your stay comfy and relaxed. Please note - firewood is available for an extra fee (we prefer if you don’t bring your own since some can be infected with invasive species and we try to protect the area as much as possibles). Firewood is $6.00 a bag and typically includes starters and kindling) depending on the local supplier we use. Coming in the summer - fire pits - bunkies - GLAMPING - and more but for now - come walk / hike our endless trails lined with black berry bushes and wild strawberries along our “secret garden” and enjoy absolute privacy and solitude knowing we are sort of nearby if you need anything at all. We want to accommodate everyone as best we can :) Need a baby seat or carrier - we can help ... if you forgot your rain coat just text us, we’ll run one out to you and if you want to ride the horses as well .. just let us know your experience level and we will try to accommodate (it may not always be possible so please ask in advance it cannot be done on arrival) . We have very skilled trail guides and coaches on staff and we offer husband horses for those in the know :) We don’t have any set prices for trail rides yet so give us a shout and we’ll work it out but typically we offer lessons at - it’s difficult to price not knowing skill levels and staff required to support your experience so we hope you understand. Mostly we want you to come - unload your baggage and walk into our little slice of heaven ... we call it respite for your soul and we think you’ll think so too. Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We absolutely loved our stay at Derrick and Rachel's place! It was everything we dreamed of. The place is private, quiet and you are able to fully relax here. The Dome is beautiful, set high with gorgeous lake views. It is clean, extremely comfortable and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. They have every amenity you require, and excellent seating areas outside (around the fire, and at the dock). The available kayak, canoe and paddleboards allows you to fully enjoy the property. The sauna/shower was such a nice touch and a great way to unwind at the end of the day. If you are looking for a hidden gem, slice or paradise, or the perfect getaway this is your place! Rachel was very responsive and helpful. We highly recommend.

Derrick and Rachel's place is absolutely incredible! Such a great escape from the city! Its peaceful but also has options for activites like canoeing and swimming and games! They have everything you can think of from lighters to lamps! We will definately be coming back to stay!

What an absolute treasure this place is! Beautifully appointed, completely serene and so peaceful! We loved our stay and thankfully the weather was perfect! Only thing I would note is we would’ve liked to be notified that the sauna and shower are located up by the main cottage near the road but other than that just perfect!

Cozy, romantic, fun, peaceful, and beautiful are just a few adjectives that I would use to describe ALG. Derrick & Rachel are phenomenally thoughtful and responsive hosts. Our only regret with choosing ALG for our anniversary is that we didn’t book a longer stay! Lots of wildlife and adventure nearby too.

Weekend Trip to Algonquin Lakeview Glamping Dome

We found a little piece of paradise! Although we wanted to keep this hidden gem to ourselves, we just can't stop thinking and talking about the wonderful time we had at Derrick and Rachel's dome! Amazing, serene, awe inspiring, perfect blend of nature and nurture (loved the sauna and water sports equipment). There are not enough words to describe this unique place. Check in was quick and our hosts so kind, the dome is so beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Having the campfire and a gas BBQ was wonderful and so convenient but our favorite place to hang out was on the pontoon/ deck. From there we watched the fog move out over the lake in the early morning, we sunbathed and took a dip into the lake to cool off during the day, waited for the sun to set in the evening. It was glorious... We will be back!!!
