We purchased this farm in 1998 from the previous farmer who had owned it since 1929. The train line ran right by the gate where the Kota hut now sits and would drop cattle right there to be finished and sold later at the Toronto Stockyards. Our barn was built in 1890 with the old farmhouse located across the creek. Two creeks meet the Grand River on our farm. The bunkie is situated north of the barn and faces Willow creek. During the summer the creek gets quite shallow but there are a couple of pools that work nicely for a float with our river tubes. The river also has a small swimming hole. The bunkie is nestled between 2 hills which creates a natural little valley. Campers can take a walk around the property or use the nearby long walking trail. New this spring, campers will be able to enjoy the firewood sauna, located close to the bunkie and nestled in a private spot near the creek.

Weekend Trip to Forest Cabin
The forest cabin was everything I’d hope for and more. I wanted a place to get away and reconnect with nature and that’s exactly what I got out of my stay. I went for hikes through the property, got to play with the sheep and the dogs! And like others have said in their reviews, by far the best outhouse I’ve ever soon! I would 100% recommend staying here! I’ll be back to check it out in the spring or summer!

Everdale is a special place! The straw cabin is simple, comfortable and so quiet! I felt safe as a person going there solo and walked their well loved and cared for land extensively. It was an education as well in that they have a regenerative farm. Being a long time gardener myself, it was interesting to read the sign posts on my walk explaining different aspects of regenerative farming and the lands ecology. I'll definitely come back and in the colder months, be sure you're comfortable keeping the woodstove going, you may need to split wood, etc. Also, being solar powered, if it's a cloudy day, the lights may go off early. I was glad I brought a battery operated lamp. Great place, great feeling there.!

Weekend Trip to Camp Willowbrook
Angie, Bob, Connell, and Chase are wonderful hosts, and the cabin by the creek is one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. The musical flow of the creek, the vintage barn, the fields, the apple trees, the tiny kitchen, the midnight moon, and the path by the creek are all enchanting elements of this countryside getaway. We would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a stay with true country farmstead charm.

A dreamy little nook, and so close to the city ! The property is just beautiful and the cabin and little kitchenette had everything we needed and more. There was a really positive energy from the land and the fields. And Angie and Bob went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I highly recommend the Kota dinner, it was such a highlight. Thanks Angie and Bob for sharing so much of yourselves and your world with us, what a beautiful memory we take with ourselves, we just wish we had stayed longer !

My friends and I were looking for a relaxing place to reconnect with nature and spend a girly weekend together. We had high expectations for this place and somehow there were exceeded! The property is beautiful, the bunkie is very cozy, you have all the utensils for a simple meal with the bbq, the sauna+hot tub were divine, and Angie and Bob are amazing hosts! We had fresh eggs in the morning and got to stargaze during the night :)

Our recent stay was absolutely fantastic, offering the perfect blend of relaxation and rustic charm. The property itself is lovely and very well-maintained.
Bob and Angie were wonderful hosts, truly making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We had a great time exploring the creek and even managed to catch some crayfish, which was a fun and unexpected activity. The hot tub was a highlight, providing a pleasant way to unwind after our daily adventures.
We especially enjoyed interacting with the animals. Feeding apples to the horses and picking eggs were the memorable experiences, and we loved petting the friendly dogs and cats.
Overall, this was a memorable trip and we would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable escape.

This little gem was one of the most private and peaceful places we’ve ever stayed. We’re so glad we found it!
Angie and Bob were incredibly welcoming, and their beautiful dogs quickly became the highlight for our kids; 2 year old took his time warming up but my 6 year old instantly fell it love! The hot tub and sauna were perfect for unwinding, and the creek provided hours of fun for the little ones.
Collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coop was another memorable moment, our kids were thrilled! We also highly recommend booking the kota hut meal. Angie was extremely accommodating to our dietary needs, and the dinner she prepared was both delicious and memorable. The evening was made even better by great conversation with Angie and Bob!
The cabin itself was very comfortable and it tends to get a bit chilly in the night so would highly recommend carrying some extra blankets.
Overall, we had such a special time here and are already looking forward to coming back!

Our experience was okay. Our biggest concern was that we were unable to lock the cabin from inside. Generally, it is much peaceful if we can lock the door from inside while sleeping.

Another wonderful weekend at Camp Willowbrook. This time I brought my daughters (11 and 13). They loved playing in the creek and feeding apples to the horses. We were there for a really hot July weekend (overnight lows still well in the 20s) and I was worried the bunkie would too hot for sleeping but I was pleasantly surprised how cool it stayed. We were quite comfortable. The girls are already asking to go back!

Our stay at Angie and Bob’s camp was amazing. Our favorite place we’ve stayed through Hipcamp thus far. They were so accommodating. We had the kota breakfast and it was delicious. Highly recommend doing a dinner and or breakfast. We loved meeting the animals on the farm. Falling asleep with the sound of the creek was an added bonus. It does get chilly at night so bring layers.

Such a magical place! Totally recommend it. Angie and Bob are amazing hosts — super friendly and warm. They made us feel right at home. The place looks just like the photos and has the perfect vibe if you’re looking to unplug and just chill. Honestly, if you wanna disconnect to reconnect, this is the spot.

We loved having a family glamping weekend with Angie! We had 3 grandparents in the bunkie, two young kids and parents in a tent, and another two in another tent down by the creek.. The space was perfect for all of us! Spacious for the kids to run around and have fun with the different activities (creek, chickens, horses, hot tub), accessible for the grands to enjoy a camping weekend, and everyone enjoyed the sauna and hot tub. This is our second stay here and would highly recommend! Angie and Bob were great hosts, very helpful and accessible.

We had an AMAZING stay here with our little kiddo. Beautiful property. Private area. The farm animals really made our stay for our 4 year old. Never bored here! Angie was a fantastic host. Definitely recommend it here and definitely will be back.

Angie and Bob were amazing host, perfect stay in a farm. This is the best place for family with kids, can enjoy the running water next to the bunker, petting the animals, visited the chicken barn and got the eggs. View of the sunset was top notch also clear view of night sky was top notch. Kitchen setup outside for barbecue and cooking. Using sauna is one of the best in this farm!! Also kids had lot of fun with dogs Coney and Chase ❤️

We had such a great time staying at Willowbrook. Myself, my husband, our daughter and her 1 year old stayed for 3 nights. Angie showed us how to fire up the sauna and hot tub, although the weather was so warm, we enjoyed the hot tub as a "cold" plunge more. The outdoor kitchen has everything a camper needs and then some - it is so well equipped. We enjoyed a day in Alora but our favorite day was just hanging around and playing in the stream catching crayfish, watching the tadpoles swim around and enjoying our grandson in his world of discovery. Willowbrook is a little oasis that I would highly recommend for someone wanting to have the experience of pure relaxation.
We also thoroughly enjoyed Angie's woodfired 3 course breakfast. SO delicious and you will not need to eat for the rest of the day! Angie and Bob are terrific hosts and are around if you need anything.
