By a combination of good timing and good luck, I was able to make that dream come true and in the spring of 2014 I acquired this land with the hopes of building my dream water ski lake on it. 7 years later, we have a thriving water ski club and are constantly making improvements to the site. We now have decided to add some sites for rent to share this incredible property with others outside the water ski community. Site #1 is a small cabin that sleeps 3 and site #2 is a small houseboat that has been converted to a bunkie. Onsite activities include use of a canoe and paddleboard. Appreciated that Shelby communicated and met me upon arrival. Was an easy set up and interesting location. Animals are super cute. I imagine the ranch is very lovely in summer. I liked the signage which made it easy to navigate. There’s The Danish Place nearby which is also cool. Was only there for one sleep but was a nice stop on my way back to Ottawa.

Pro: - nice host - electricity as well as full fridge. - Porta potty was a flush type so the smell was minimal - watch water skiing from front of cabin and there is nice shade there in the evening - there is a full screen sitting area with lawn furniture. great for keeping bugs off. - Fairly quiet site as long as water ski was not taking place - you can drive up to the Cabin - The pond is very close to main road to go into town. About 20min away from costo and bass pro shop. Con: -Fridge doors opened towards the wall making fridge access extremely limited - Cabin is tiny. when the couch is pulled out into a bed there is maybe 4 spots you can stand. - Cabin is "roughing it" I would have brought a cleaner and wipes to give it a quick wipe down before use. - No walking trails on property - Porta potty is a little ways away so be prepared to walk if you need the bathroom. - There is no latch on the Cabin door. either you lock it from the inside or the outside. it makes it hard if one person wants to nap in the afternoon.

My friend and I had such a wonderful time at Foof's forest! It's a perfect distance from Clifton hills to visit daily, but far enough away that you can enjoy nature. We had fun finding frogs and bugs all over in the evenings, and the hosts were super kind and came out to welcome us with their adorable pup. Would recommend.

My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend and we absolutely loved it!!! If you want to get away somewhere where you don't see many people, this is the place to go! Although they waterside, it was quite quiet. We brought a 2 person floatie and sat in the water with that while watching the boat go by. We would 100% stay here again. Only criticism is that the porta potty is a trek away and the bbq was quite dirty so we didn't use it. We loved it there and the host was very quick to reply to my messages. I recommend this place 100%!!!

Un seul emplacement qui permet toute la quiétude nécessaire pour se reposer. Les hôtes donne accès à tout l’arrière du terrain. Ils ont même invité nos enfants à utiliser la tyrolienne et le trampoline!! Les hôtes son accueillants et il est facile d’obtenir une réponse rapide de leur part. La toilette rustique était en parfait état. Avec tout le nécessaire pour nos petits ou gros envies. Ça sentait bon à l’intérieur! Oui, oui!!! Ça sentait bon!!!! Le seul petit irritant, c’est qu’il n’y a pas d’accès à de l’eau. . Je recommande! 💖

What a lovely spot to relax, yet close to all the tourist venues and plenty of shopping and dining options nearby! The camping site provided lots of privacy with a spotless outhouse, which was a wonderful bonus. Laura and her husband greeted us on arrival and were super kind. We appreciated the firewood that was available to purchase on-site. I would highly recommend to stay here as a perfect basecamp to explore the area.

The space was private, we didn’t see a soul the whole time we were there (which was nice!). It’s in a rural residential area, so you could hear some cars and a train once in a while but that was it. You could see the stars. ✨ Everything was well-maintained, the bathroom was perfect, and the site was a great size. A perfect getaway for our family and our dog, who needed escape from fireworks! It’s a simple and convenient set-up, easy access and easy to relax in.
