This campsite offers a convenient spot for those looking to explore both Tofino and Ucluelet, with many reviewers appreciating its location and affordability. The facilities include clean porta potties, power, and water hookups, but some visitors noted the proximity to the road resulted in some noise. There are food trucks on-site, providing a nice dining option, and the staff is generally described as friendly and helpful. However, the lack of proper restroom facilities and small, closely-packed sites were common points of critique.
We enjoyed this small campground very much. It is a perfect location to visit Ukee as well as Tofino. East going staff! Rent an e-bike and ride to Tofino, great bike trails.
Very well priced for the area especially with hookups. Good location. The sites are a bit small and close together but we were the only people camping there. I'd camp here again.
Had a great first-time stay here over the weekend! We camped in our car — the site was clean and quiet even though it's close to the road. There are two clean porta potties, a grassy area for tents, and a separate RV section with power and water hookups. The staff were friendly and helpful. A nice, affordable spot near Tofino. Would recommend.
Nice location between Tofino & Ucluelet. Short drive to all of the beaches. Enjoyed having the Wildwood Sauna right there for post-surf relaxation. Host was communicative and check-in & out was easy.
Great site!
Convenient location for anyone who is looking to visit Tofino or Ucluelet.
There was a very bright light that stayed on all night which made it a little harder to sleep though.
Other than that 10/10
Easy check-in and good facilities. Spaces are nice and private. We had a class-B RV and found our spot slightly tricky to back in to with the layout but wasn’t a problem to drive forward into if you have long hoses & cables. Good location outside of Tofino after a long drive down the Pacific Rim Highway. Easy to find! Near the road but quiet!
Camp host was friendly, the campsite is newer so very bare bones and close to the highway. But nice to have a place to stay for the night on short notice.
I just needed an ac outlet and it was 30 amp.
Also the water wasn’t a faucet and I didn’t bring my hose but I got water from behind the shop.
Quiet and convenient
The location was perfect, everything worked and the staff was super friendly and helpful. We did a lot of bicycling and the paved trail joining Tofino to Uclulet is ideal and passes right in front of the camp site. Thank you!
We found the site to be quiet large with water and electric. It backed up to trees. Although it was close to the road, we didn't hear a lot of road noise. There were outhouses but no showers...not a problem for us. The campground has surfboard rentals and a variety of food trucks there everyday, nice bonus. The location is just a few minutes from downtown Ucluelet to the south and Long beach to the north. There is a bike path from the campground to Ucluelet. For us it was perfect.
Great stay! The site was clean, spacious, and had full hookups, making everything super convenient. Friendly staff, well-maintained facilities, and beautiful surroundings for hiking and relaxing. Perfect for a peaceful getaway with stunning views. Highly recommend!
We booked a powered site and it worked out great! We loved being able to rent ebikes right from the campground, leave everything set up and hit the spectacular Pacific Rim trail! We biked right across Long Beach, what an experience! We had a hard time finding water after arriving late but eventually located a tap at the back of the surf shop. Porta potties were ok. Great value for the area!
Overall a good experience and the RV site we used had a firepit and picnic table for our use including potable water and electric connection. The host had very reliable and quick communication. Unfortunately the "toilets" were only porta-potties and no showers available on grounds. We used RV facilities but no Sani-dump (closest one would charge $10 fees). We arrived Sunday evening and stayed until Tues and most of the small on-site shops weren't open (perhaps weekend motivated operations?). Wifi connection was spotty. We liked that there was surf and ebike rentals on campground. Highly recommend purchasing the ebikes for 4+ hrs and riding down the paved bike lane which winds through forests spanning from tofino to ucluelet!
It was a nice spot, I’d recommend they change the tent spots numbering system so that they are different than the RV spots as someone took my spot the night I arrived.
We camped with tents on the RV site and it fit our needs perfectly!! Lots of space for all vehicles and tents, and there was tree lines on either side that gave a fair bit of privacy from the other sites. Beach to ukee was 7 min away and Tofino was close drive too!!
The site is convenient, close to Ucluelt. The traffic is not too bad during nighttime, so that was no big deal. Quite OK, but I‘d rather choose a campground with showers and proper toilets next time. The host was very friendly and helpful and the foodtrucks offered a nice choice.
Clean, portapotties, hose at surf shop with water, several food trucks and close to Ucluelet and Tofino. Keep your food in car and not by camp as bears are active in the area.
Good location, good price and value, on road but traffic died down towards 9pm and didn’t restart until 6am.
Great poke bowls across the street at surf shop.
It was a pity the surf shop was closed and we felt the service was really minimal despite the fact we were not after hours. Generally there is a lack of info, no signs and little comm with these guys. There is no sewage and we needed to drive 10 kms and pay 10 extra dollars in another park. the park is right next to the highway. Although it’s a rural area it was a bit noisy. And we had to leave a day sooner, had no refund from the shop nor any answer from Nicole when I wrote to her the same day.
Great spot for the price. Quick access to Ucluelet and super easy when coming in and out of town. Access to water, clean bathrooms, and the empanada spot in the parking lot is great! A small stall for even a cold water shower would be a welcome edition!
Would stay again.
