The Forest Lodge is located just outside from Pemberton nestled in the Karrie Forest. Walking distance to the national park, the Gloucester tree with the Zipline park and the Pemberton town with all its attractions, like the Tram ride and the Mountain bike Park. The Lodge is a "Birds Lovers Paradise" and home to a very large Kangaroo mob, living on the property. The resort offers a large variety of accommodations that suite couples or families alike. The night sky is clear, and it offers the best Star gazing moments you could wish. With jogging and walking tracks that are good for mountain bikes on the property and around, it is an eldorado for the outside sportive person. We are fortunate to have the Warren National Park on our doorstep, and a commercial license to operate tours and camping in our National Parks. Graeme and I started WA Wilderness in 2014 as part of our 'Pemberton Discovery Tours' when the then 'Department of Conservation' realised that there were a lot of people who don't do camping due to a multitude of factors; these include: Time, Lack of Equipment, Newbie's who want to 'give it a go' before investing in expensive camping equipment and even baby moons, or camping with little children when every inch of space in the car is precious. So, we operate in the Warren National Park, it is some 8000Ha of National Park and stunningly beautiful Karri Forest, our campsites are located near the Warren River and are separate, so although you may see other campers you are not on top of each other. We set up everything for you, so all you have to do is turn up with your food and your family. To keep our pricing down we offer optional linen, so you can choose to bring your favourite doona. The sites are also unpowered however we offer 12V lighting and the option for a portable toilet. (There is a toilet on site as well.) There are steps leading into the river, the perfect place to paddle or dip your feet. We have a maximum of 8 sites on location here so there is plenty of space for privacy. We are only 15 minutes from the beautiful town of Pemberton, complete with wineries, galleries, restaurants, shopping and much more! You may also wish to join a tour or two - the Pemberton Tram runs daily, and we give you mates rates on our tours. We find our camps are perfect for busy people, who wish to try / go camping and value the opportunity to turn up to a complete camp, set up for you to enjoy from the start.

Weekend Trip to Lakeside at Running Gully

One of the best Glamping experiences I have ever had in WA so far! The Dome is beautiful, clean and cozy. It was also the perfect setup for two families travelling together — especially when one of the families (us, not our friends 😄) had zero camping experience. Everything was so easy and well-organised that we could just relax and enjoy, without any stress or guesswork. The host was incredibly responsive and helpful, making sure we had everything we needed while still giving us privacy to enjoy the experience. It was clear a lot of care has gone into creating a relaxing and memorable environment. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and comfortable outdoor escape!

3 nights at Lakeside at Running Gully

The Glamping Dome was amazing to stay at, with both Scott and Catherine being fantastic hosts. My partner and I loved reconnecting with nature through walking around the property, watching the kangaroo and magpie families, and relaxing by the dam. We had an amazing time.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay this past weekend! The dome was even better than expected beautifully maintained, private, and surrounded by peaceful nature, making it the perfect spot to relax and recharge. The Scott & Catherine were incredibly welcoming and made sure everything was set up for us to have a stress-free getaway.

Weekend Trip to Lakeside at Running Gully

This was an absolutely stunning stay! The dome itself was comfortable, very clean, luxurious in terms of aircon and all amenities (fully set up kitchen!?), and had great shower. The location was incredible - I cannot overstate how picturesque this place was! We saw Roos everyday, flocks of black cockatoos, could walk around the property, sit on the jetty near the lake, and still nip into Pemberton/ Manjimup for lunch! Hosts were super lovely and helpful and this has shot to one of our favourite getaways!
