Something Different is a large machinery shed that has been converted into a comfortable holiday house with three bedrooms and one bathroom (extra toilet outside) and huge living spaces. You can really kick back here and relax!
The walls and ceilings have been extensively insulated. There is a wood heater in the kitchen and another one in the main part of the Shed so it can be kept nice and cosy despite its size!
You can drive your car/van inside the shed if you wish or park it under any of the many surrounding trees.
The Shed sleeps 10 in total (base price covers all 10), with 1 queen and 1 single bed in one room, 1 dbl bed and 2 single beds in another room, and 1 queen bed and 1 single bed in a third room.
All linen, towels, etc. are provided.
If you have more people, they are welcome to pitch a tent or park their caravan on the grounds around the shed. For a large group (say 10 plus) we charge an extra $20 (total) to cover the extra power you will need.
There's a chook yard/dog yard with 2 kennels outside but you're welcome to have your dog (not chooks) inside the Shed.

We offer a quiet retreat 5kms up Sandhills Road with a winter brook and peaceful meadows on a country farm set in the beautiful Brookhampton Valley 9kms from Donnybrook and close to many local attractions and wineries with the towns of Bunbury ,Donnybrook,Balingup,Bridgetown and Collie within a pleasant afternoons drive plus the Bibbulum trails are easily accessed.
It’s peaceful with plenty of space for winding down. You can see the redtail cockatoos that visit us in December plus a nature walk to wander along (ask for details )
The Hipcamp is located away from the main house so is private. There is an artists studio on the property with the main woodfired salt glazing pottery kiln being fired once or twice a year. We welcome visitors to the studio -lots happening at Easter 2026(see photos)
We often have our own eggs, honey, fruit and farm produce for sale.
There is grey water available for topping your tanks

FENCES are live so don’t attach anything to fences
There is a dump site for portable toilets at 20 Reserve Street Donnybrook. Greywater can be released onto the paddock.
We have an eco toilet available do not put any foreign matter down it there is a rainwater shower available -please use wisely
PLEASE do not feed the animals or enter other areas on the farm without permission
All camping must be undertaken in the designated camping area
There is a 10pm curfew - no arrivals to the Camp will be allowed after dark so if you cannot arrive before dark please book for the next day.
Entry to the property is via a farm gate which must be opened and shut behind you
For Entry :
Drive all the way to the end of the gravel drive go past the main house gate (a large wooden gate) keep going down the track to the farm gate -open and shut it behind you always -line up straight to the bridge and drive straight across it and into the hipcamp
We have camping available during the music festival at Newlands in the New Year Brookhampton Blues in February -Easter for the Donnybrook Apple Festival - the TOMR bike race at the end of October and the Medieval Festival in Balingup as well as available throughout the year depending on the weather
Bring bikes and hiking shoes if you love the outdoors plenty of trails nearby.

By booking this property (known as "Residence"), you will enjoy two adjoining homes in one: the 5-bedroom "Beach House" and the 2-bedroom "Town House".
- Bedrooms and Bathrooms:
In the Beach House, you have a master bedroom with direct views of the ocean on the mezzanine floor. This master contains a brand-new, hotel-grade electric fireplace. Next to the master, there is a large mezzanine living room with a king-size bed, a king-size daybed, and a comfortable bed, plus a games area with giant Jenga. The mezzanine floor also has a master bathroom with a bath and stunning views.
On the ground floor of Beach House, there are three bedrooms. One room has a queen bed, the second has two king-single beds, and the third contains bunk beds with an additional single bed (perfect for children). There is also another bathroom with a separate toilet downstairs.
In the Town House, you also have a massive mezzanine master bedroom with direct sea views. This room contains two queen beds and a comfortable sofa bed, and is accessed via the spiral staircase.
On the ground level of Town House, there is another bedroom with a queen bed and direct access to the backyard. The bathroom also contains a jet power spa bath.
- Kitchens, outdoor, and other facilities:
Both Beach House and Town House each have kitchens that are fully equipped with Nespresso machines (four complimentary pods provided per machine), microwaves, kettles, ovens, dishwashers, etc.
The WiFi throughout the entire Residence is fast, and the televisions are both loaded with international "pay-TV" television and streaming.

You will also enjoy two spacious sitting areas, one of which has a comfortable sofa bed and the other is a single day bed. Most importantly, there is a huge balcony where all of your guests can enjoy a BBQ dinner or drinks with an unobstructed view of the ocean; and
- the lower level is an entirely self-contained two-bedroom lodge with a large bathroom, fully equipped kitchen and lounge area with an additional day bed that turns into a king sized bed if required. Both bedrooms also have views, with the larger room containing a queen bed and the smaller room containing a bunk bed with trundle (1x double & 2 x single).

This was a great stay for our 2 young families. The place came with so many games, sports equipment and things to do that kept the kids busy for hours. It's rustic but has everything you need. Only 10ish minute drive to the apple farm playground. The stars were absolutely stunning and had a flock of carnaby's visit in the morning. Very beautiful. Thanks Vivien.

Vivien is a lovely host and the property offers a unique camping experience. The lake is beautiful and well maintained, with kayaks available and a rich ecosystem around it. Even though the summer heat had dried up the grass, the kids still had an amazing time exploring the area (though it was a bit too cold for a swim!).
The shed is a practical addition — a typical farm shed so understandably a little dusty, but it worked well with a shower, toilet, mattresses, and a very functional kitchen.
Our group of more than 30 people (plus kids) had a fantastic time — adults played table tennis for hours, we enjoyed volleyball and badminton outside, and the teens loved the board games provided.
One thing to note is that the site is beside the road. The trees give some cover, but we did hear a few loud cars drifting late at night during our stay. Not the host’s fault, but something to be aware of.
Overall, if you’re not too fussed about a rustic farm-style setup and occasional road noise, this place is perfect for big groups. We’d happily come back in winter for a campfire. Thanks Vivien!

Keladry Farm is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. The room and the whole house are very clean, and the hosts are professional, friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is delicious and a special experience by itself. The scrambled eggs made with eggs from Keladry Farm chickens are sensational. The two host dogs are endlessly sweet and accompanied us on our walks. We definitely will be back!
