I am writing to formally raise my concerns regarding my recent stay in your accommodation , for which I paid $130 plus dollars Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing and far from what was advertised or expected.
I checked in just after 5:00 PM and had only been in the room for a short time when, around 7:00 PM, the power tripped. All I had done was turn on the small heater, make a cup of tea, and toast a slice of bread. From that point onward, the power situation remained unreliable and unacceptable. By midnight, when I tried again to use the toaster (plugged into the RCD orange box) and had the heater running from a separate extension cord, the power failed once more — leaving me completely without access to basic amenities such as heating, cooking appliances, a fridge, and even the kettle.
I was freezing due to the severe draft coming from under the front door, which I had to block with a blanket. The small heater was inadequate, and the room lacked insulation. I was unable to eat the dinner I had prepared (scrambled eggs and tomatoes), could not reheat my tea, and had no warm drink or food for the entire night. I attempted to resolve the issue by checking the RCD box and outlets, but it was not possible to reset the power. I finally had to call for asstnce between 2:30 and 3:00 AM, which I found extremely distressing and would understand if some kind of compensation was offered but nothin- topping it off power was cut from the building 1/2 hr be4 chckt
