Bridgewater is a working cattle property that borders the Dawson ranges. We are also located an hour from the Blackdown Tablelands.
There is an abundance of native wildlife, and wide open skies great for stargazing at night. There is also an abundance of native trees and plenty of wood to collect for your fires at night when the season allows. Plenty of space to have privacy and relax in the bush with beautiful views of the mountains to the south and west.
Located at the end of a 21km gravel council road you will be rewarded with beautiful views, sunrises, sunsets and peace and quiet in abundance apart from the wonderful wildlife that is.
Pull in to a quiet bush setting, set up your fire pit for the evening and grab a drink and enjoy the birds come to life, perhaps see the wild horses, and cattle or the kangaroos, emus or brolgas go past.
Enjoy a day trip to the stunning Blackdown Tablelands or simply relax in the beautiful surroundings. Bring your bikes for a ride on the dirt tracks.
For safety though remember to supervise your kids at all times as we have open waterways and dams so there are some hazards. Also remember that eastern brown snakes are in this region so be snake aware.
If you bring your pets they need to be on a leash at all times so that they are safe, there are sometimes Dingoes and wild pigs that wander through the property seasonally.
There is some mobile phone service at the campsites but not always. We look forward to helping you enjoy your stay on our property.
Guests must be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure.
Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided.

Loved our time here at Bridgewater Station. We stayed here 3 nights in December. The site was well cleared and grassed. Firewood was provided and our hosts were friendly and ensured we enjoyed our time. If you are looking for a spacious site and enjoy the peace, this is an ideal place.

We loved it so much here. Very private, quiet and spacious. Generous and friendly hosts. Lots of free firewood and pits provided for use. Long drive off the highway as advertised - true off the beaten track vibes.

We loved the solitude and open space of this camp. The frogs serenaded us each evening. With so little light pollution the stars were spectacular. Fire wood and fire place provided by the excellent hosts Scott and Anita. Be aware it is a 22km dusty dirt road in, but that’s part of creating the solitude. Highly recommend.

Thanks Anita and Scott for having us! We loved our stay - an easy day trip out to Blackdown Tablelands. We loved sharing the paddock with the cows and horses - kids thought it was awesome. The 3 campsites are close to each other but there was no one else there during our stay so we had the entire paddock to ourselves! :) Scott even dropped off a fire pit and delivered wood each arvo for us.

Really nice stay on Anita and Scott’s property. Such terrific hosts and even the cows came over to welcome us. The property is well off the main road and quiet. The camping area is very large with firewood provided. You can even walk along a couple of paths during the day. We had a memorable two night stay with a couple of friends and really enjoyed it. And so many stars at night! Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely time at Bridgewater Camp. We didn't get to meet Anita, but Scott (husband) was fabulous, very helpful and friendly. Happy to share his knowledge of the land.
Directions to get to their location were very clear.
They provided fire wood and a fire pit, this was appreciated as it did get cold at night.
I would recommend this stay.

Nice isolated camp near a creek on grass - Scott was a great host and brought us free firewood an a few yarns - gotta love farmers !!
Track in from dingo was 22 ks of dusty rd so probably wouldn’t suit the mr & mrs clean of this world but they are all
Crammed in a caravan park somewhere anyway !

Good directions, easy to find, accessible and private! The firewood comes in large pieces, so bring an axe. We loved the provided fire pits, especially the BBQ grate!
We switched to site 3 which was the most level, perfect for tents and campervans.

This is a beautiful and honest campsite, with plenty of space and well kept mowed grass. The site included plenty of firewood which we put to a good use since it was very cold at the time of our stay. Our plan was to use the site as a base camp to explore Blackdown Tablelands, but unfortunately the road to the NP was closed for roadwork. We planned the trip a few months ago and nothing was showing as incoming closures at the time, so if this is your plan, I'd suggest to check the NP webpage before you head up, which we did but too far in advance.

We had an awesome stay at Bridgewater.
We had 4 vans on site, All gathered around the supplied fire pit with supplied fire wood.
Scotty came down and told us about the land and some history of the area over a couple beers. Top bloke!
We all spent a day up at blackdown national park exploring the legendary rainbow falls and the water holes up above it.
100% top place highly recommend
And my wife loved talking to the cows around the property 🐄

Family friendly park, Rainbow Falls were the highlight for us. Take the track to the right of the stairs to find the two small pools and waterfall. 4WD track to Charlevue lookout was amazing.
