Private but where's the fire pit?
4 m pop-up camper · With pets · This site was certainly private, and I imagine it would be pretty too when the grapevines are green (we visited in winter, brown spindly vines). The fire pit in the picture is not there, which was unexpected since it features in the ad. We didn't know where to put our firewood, and it seems that neither did others. Luckily we had brought wood; it says you can buy some for $20 but the hosts were nowhere to be found even when I opened the door to the cellar to see if it was open. We didn't light a fire in the end. We picked up someone else's dog poo.
It's private, and you will not be disturbed. Usually it's campers who prefer not to be disturbed but on this occasion I think it was the hosts. Other than an open gate, there was no sign of being welcome to stay.
So 1. bring your own firepit and firewood, 2. pick up your dog poo or you're leaving it for the next campers.
I might stay again if I had no other options, but I didn't feel welcome.
