Lewana is a historic ex-forestry workers' estate located on the Blackwood River and Tourist Route 251 between Balingup and Nannup. The 100-acre property is situated amongst state and pine forests, and the parkland setting features over 50 different tree varieties, creating a beautiful place to stay at any time of year. Lewana is the ideal base to explore the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas, including Donnybrook, Nannup, and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries, there’s plenty to enjoy during your stay. Experience nature by walking part of the Bibbulmun Track, cycling a section of the Mundi Bibbi Track, or kayaking on the Blackwood River from historic Wrights Bridge. Please Note: No campfires between 1st Nov and 10th May, subject to Shire ruling. Dog-friendly, strictly by prior arrangement only. Shower available adjacent to the old barn. Communal fire pit & gas BBQ. No generators or trail bikes allowed. Coffee Cart open when guests are staying with us.

Lewana is a historic ex forestry workers estate located on the Blackwood River and Tourist Route 251 between Balingup and Nannup. The 100 acre property is situated amongst state and pine forest and the parkland setting has over 50 different trees varieties creating a beautiful place to stay at any time of year. Located towards the bottom of the Lewana Valley, Base Camp offers majestic views of the wide open landscape above and the brook and ponds below.  The view of the ridge line climbing to over 300m elevation makes you want to climb up to the top to experience the views over the Blackwood. The open and exposed level site is most suitable for self-contained camp set ups with the ablution facilities located 250m away by the old barn.  The campground is not shaded which is perfect for solar panels however an awning of something to provide shade would be needed in summer months.  Access is via a sloping gravel track with turning space adjacent to the campground, which most suitable for 4WD towing vehicles or 2WD tent set ups. Conventional caravans and tents can be used in summer. Access from the gravel road is via a grassed level track, however parts of the site are on a slight slope.  Lewana is the ideal place to base yourself to enjoy the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas including Donnybrook, Nannup and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries there is plenty to do during your stay. Experience nature by walking part of the Bibbulmun Track or cycle a section of the Mundi Bibbi Track, you can even kayak on the Blackwood River from historic Wrights Bridge. Lewana is a historic ex forestry workers estate located on the Blackwood River and Tourist Route 251 between Balingup and Nannup. Running Brook comprises of two secluded spaces, which when combined are suitable for up to two camp set ups.  The campgrounds are located in the forest with the elevated site overlooking the dam.   The Brook flows past the site during winter months filling the dam below. The site is located away from the other campsites, heritage listed cottages and c. 250m from the ablution block and old barn.  The campground is suited to self-contained caravans or trailer tents with their own restroom facilities which must be provided by the camper. Lewana is the ideal place to base yourself to enjoy the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas including Donnybrook, Nannup and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries there is plenty to do during your stay. Nestled in the trees by a creek that flows from the dam in winter, Hidden Creek is most suitable for self-contained camper trailers or off-road caravans in wetter months.  Conventional caravans can be used in summer. Access from the gravel road is via a grassed level track, however parts of the site are on a slight slope.  It is located away from the other campsites and timber cottages at Lewana. The ablution block is c. 170m from the campground by the old barn.  Lewana is the ideal place to base yourself to enjoy the picturesque region of Balingup and the surrounding areas including Donnybrook, Nannup and Bridgetown. Surrounded by orchards and award-winning wineries there is plenty to do during your stay.
