Located in Yea, Killingworth Hill provides a quiet rural farm setting, ideally located for those traveling in Central Victoria.
The immediate area offers lots of activities. Lake Eildon nearby is fantastic for fishing and boating, as are several other nearby rivers. There are a number of local National Parks to visit, providing excellent hiking trails. The Victorian Rail Trail runs through Yea, plus we're en route to Mt Buller for winter snow activities.
The farm is spread over 20 acres, with two large dams for fishing and bird watching. We also have a whisky bar and cafe on site! Where authentic vintage Australian farm relics sit alongside fine china and silverware. The décor (and the whisky) at Killingworth Hill Cafe represents a collection that is the product of decades of searching and dedication. It’s rustic, traditional Australiana with more than a smack of sophistication.
Drink in the history as you sample some of the finest drams you’ll ever come across. Discerning whisky lovers enjoy an experience that’s more than the sum of its parts.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Garry’s property. It was so quiet, so close to town and the bird life was spectacular. Garry was very helpful and accommodating and I would highly recommend this Hipcamp.
Beautiful, quiet spot with the most amazing stars to look at. We enjoyed a nice platter at the whiskey bar for lunch and our toddler loved being able to run around the field!
Hipcamp acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
