Best bush camping with privacy and plenty of shade, wood and right near to the Greens Bush horse and walking track! Magnificent!

We had a wonderful time at Peninsula Bush retreat! Matt was easy to contact, everything was as described and our friends who had never tried Hipcamp before were very impressed by the spot! Great location in the beautiful Aussie bush, the tall gums make for nice shady spots and the water taps / amenities nearby make it very convenient for camping. I can’t wait to stay again.

Matt is a great host (comms, generosity, flexibility). The land is a rare combination of natural bush in a prime location. Striking distance to premium beaches, top wineries and foodie experiences. Sites flat and well grassed. Kangaroos and kookaburras galore. Facilities are quite basic (one portaloo is barely sufficient, taps on most sites but water has strong taste, fire drums are small yet safe). The price reflects it's rarity so close to Melbourne. Highly recommendable. Thank you Matt!

Very quiet and tranquil. Wonderful fireplace and toilet in good condition. Would definitely come again. Kids and parents all had a great time. Perfect base for doing activities around Mornington Peninsula.

Beautiful location next to Greens Bush National Park with some great walks starting out from the back of the campsite. Matt was very welcoming, dropped off firewood and was great to chat to. All sites have a tap and hose for bore water and the (shared) builders toilet was well maintained. We’ll be back for sure.

We had a great few days at Baldrys Rd Farm Stay. The location is great for all that the Peninsula has to offer. The sites were large and well separated and surrounded by trees and ferns. A beautiful place to spend some time.

I am hesitant to post an accurate and honest review as I'm afraid this site will become too popular!
Matt is gorgeous, never tired of my endless questions prior to booking, even allowed a look-see 2 weeks before we went.
We felt like we were in the remotest, thickest natural bush but with the added benefit of being only 15mins from townships and beaches.
The cherry on top for us is it's only 40 mins home, we enjoyed our beautuful Peninsula, and all it has to offer, as true tourists for a change.
Slight hiccup with the toilet situation but solution was swiflty found.
We will certainly be seeing you again Matt, fingers crossed.

Matt's land is a rare spot among the tourism hot spots of Mornington. What we loved was the extra space his private camping land afforded us- bigger than your public camp allotment and most especially we loved being able to have a small camp fire each night. When we arrived, the abundance of butterflies made the arrival a touch enchanting, as did the two 'roos who heralded our way into the sites. Matt was accomodating and very helpful, especially when the battery on our Ute died on January 1. It wasn't how we meant to start the year, but Matt made it all work out for us. I'm a bit loathe to give this too good a review, we'd like to come back and bring more friends but we think it might get harder to book if we do.

Matt’s property is beautiful and secluded. Nice to be close to the peninsula without the crowds and place for the dogs and kids to run around. Would highly recommend for those wanting to camp minus the crowds! Will hopefully be back soon.

My friends and I had a great time at Matt’s property.
Matt’s was a great host you met us on arrival, took us to the site and advised us on what’s what.
The property was clean, private and heaps of firewood.
The portable toilet was very convenient and clean.
Highly recommend this property and I will definitely be back here soon.

Wow! Staying at Baldry’s Rd Farmstay was fantastic. Such a great set up. The campsites were all very private and you were not able to see anybody else once you’re set up in your campsite. I really like the fact that it was close to Melbourne that you felt like you were so far away and you got to relaxLike you were a world away. It’s in a handy location close to all of the Mornington Peninsula attractions, but you still get to stay somewhere where you can chill out.

Our camping experience was fantastic. The site (site 5) felt lovely and private. We only saw other campers when we out walking. Lots of shade at the campsite and plenty of room for our 3 families to spread out on the site.

Such a serene place to camp. Everything was so great, there was even a fire pit provided. Our dog was allowed to roam freely which was such a treat. It is sheltered, private but not too isolated. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back.

Peninsula Bush retreat
We had a fantastic stay at Baldry's Rd over the weekend. The site (site 5) was perfect for our group and the surroundings of the property are just beautiful. In the words of my 3 year old - "it's so pretty here". Matt was very helpful in organising our trip, including answering my million questions. We will definitely be back.
