🐄 Welcome to Red Pig Farm Red Pig Farm is a fresh and exciting getaway in the picturesque Coominya area, just a short drive from Brisbane. Our 10-acre hobby farm offers a unique escape from the city, allowing you to connect with nature and experience rural life firsthand. Whether you’re seeking adventure or a quiet place to relax, we aim to provide a premier destination for a taste of country living. The Farm Experience We offer quiet, private sites on our rustic acreage. Your stay includes a supervised "meet and greet" with our resident animals: 14 goats, 5 llamas, 2 steer, our farm dog, and a lively flock of free-range chickens and guinea fowl. You can spend quality time feeding the llamas—Kevin is always up for a stroll on his lead as long as there are treats involved—or enjoying the unique personalities of our friendly goats. As the sun sets to the west, enjoy a roaring campfire under the stars. Firewood is available for $10 per night. Facilities & Amenities • Power & Tank Water: Available at each site. • Self-Contained Only: Please note we do not have toilet or shower facilities on-site. The nearest dump point is located at the Lowood Showgrounds. Explore the Local Area Coominya is a charming village just 90 minutes from Brisbane. It boasts a great local pub with excellent food, a café, a petrol station with hot food, and a pharmacy (open Mon–Fri). • The Great Outdoors: We are located near the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail for walking, cycling, or horse riding. • Water Sports: Three major dams are nearby for swimming, fishing, and boating: Atkinson Dam (9km), Wivenhoe Dam (13km), and Somerset Dam (31km). Local Markets: • Esk (20 mins): Saturday morning markets. • Fernvale (20 mins): Sunday morning markets. • Laidley (30 mins): Friday markets.Set in a quiet location on our 10 acre hobby farm, where you can meet the goats, llamas and free range chickens and guinea fowl.
