Jake was a great host, providing firewood on demand and even letting me snorkel from his property on the river. The site was clean, well maintained, and within easy reach of everything. Full power, sewer, and water with maintained hookups. Jake regularly checked in with us to make sure everything was going well. I would strongly recommend.

Site 2: Gatlin Ridge
Great location in the "Land of Waterfalls," with lots of recreational facilities nearby. The campsite is nicely landscaped, with new water, sewer, and electric hookups. Jake, the host, is very nice and helpful. He permitted private access to a riverside beach on their family property, which was very nice.
Spent Father's Day weekend with my son and my father - three generations in one camper. It was amazing and Jake was AWESOME!! Fishing was high on list of priorities, as our family thoroughly enjoys the peacefulness of the sport. Not only did Jake provide us with some pointers on where to catch some fish, but he also even allowed us to enjoy his private access to the river to catch some trout! The site was easy to access, well maintained, and beautifully landscaped. Highly recommend!!! Five Stars!!!! :-)
Nice clean small camp with full hook up. Friendly people with helpful tips what to explore and private access to the river . We had a great time, thank you.

Site #5: Gatlin Ridge
We had an amazing stay at Gatlin Ridge RV Park in Rosman, NC! From the moment we arrived, Jake made us feel incredibly welcome and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. The in-and-out for parking our 35-foot fifth wheel was super easy, and our site was spacious and beautifully maintained with all hookups working flawlessly. We stayed in site #5.
The park is peaceful and surrounded by stunning natural scenery, perfect for relaxing or exploring the outdoors. The fire pit was a highlight—we enjoyed s’mores every night under the stars! The location is fantastic, with hiking trails, Brevard, and Headwater Outfitters all just a short drive away.
Overall, Gatlin Ridge is a true gem. Thanks to Jake, our experience was wonderful—we had such a relaxing and fun stay, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend to anyone traveling through western NC!

Great place to stay a night or stay month. Easy to get and out of with ease, all hookups easy to hookup.
Wi-Fi works excellent. Quiet and peaceful with no problems. Host was awesome. Canoeing less than a mile was beautiful, along with tap room and wonderful food truck. We’ll be back soon. Compliments to the host for a great visit. Thank you.
What is up fellow campers! As you may or may not know, we do reviews of Hipcamp sites on our YouTube channel? so here ya go! Jake is super nice. He offered free firewood a couple of times. The sites are small, but very clean. Everything worked as it should for full hookups and the Wi-Fi was really good. Now, the photos you will see on Hipcamp site are a little off. These sites are literally on the side of a well traveled residential road. We have a 3.5 year old…not good for kids or pets. If we had known this we would have passed. Kids have nowhere to run safely and there is noise from that road and Asheville Hwy. There are no views as again, these sites are on the side of a residential road. Sites are level and easy enough to back in to. It is close to Brevard which is nice and we took advantage of that. There are no amenities, so the cost does not match up well with other campgrounds with amenities at a Hipcamp price of $82 per night and that includes a Hipcamp fee. Jake gave us a break on price from the beginning so that made the price make more sense. This would make a great one night stop over if passing through I would say for sure. I could see no real room for expansion, but maybe there is more land than I saw. Safe travels guys!

We loved our stay at Gatlin Ridge RV. Our host was very friendly and helped us make the most out of our trip. Our site was clean, quiet and easy to access. Our location was situated perfectly to enjoy the local fishing spots. We are definitely coming back again next year.

This is a great small site. Perfect for out family - quiet, room to play, and everything worked well from power to sewer. Jake came up and said hi introduced and gave us some local insights. We will definitely be back.

Simply put - very nice site. On a quiet road, full hookups, water pressure regulator on the spigot, generous size sites, very well maintained and very clean. We will definitely be back!

Peaceful quiet and close to the creek for fishing.
Great location! Central for sightseeing. Very clean and beautiful landscaping. Jake even brought us free firewood! I would stay again
Jake has been wonderful! He is a good communicator, welcoming, and accomodating with our schedule. I actually had to cancel our stay last minute due to illness, but he has extended an invitation for another weekend at a reduced rate. I will definitely take him up on that!

We loved our stay at Gatlin Ridge. It’s easy to get to and located in a beautiful area. There is a lot to explore within Pisgah Forest. Jake was a gracious host and made our stay extremely pleasant. We enjoyed driving the blue ridge parkway, visiting nearby breweries, and fishing on the river. I would recommend Gatlin Ridge to anyone looking to camp in this beautiful part of NC.
Very clean and manicured spot without the crowd and in just about the best location to explore the outdoors that you could dream up. I highly recommend this spot! The only thing to really note and consider is my verizon reception was 1 bar and no internet access. That probably was a blessing in disguise in hindsight.
Great little 4-spot RV park with a backdrop of large mature shade trees. Easy hook-ups for water, electric and sewer. While the sites are fronted by a road, it has very little traffic. There is a little road noise from the highways behind the sites, but really pretty quiet. There are even a few things to do within a 10-min walk: two outfitters for fishing/tubing, a local tap house with food trucks and a public access to the creek for fishing. Bring your gear!
