Lifesaver host!
Kathleen is a very responsive and attentive host! We needed a last minute place to sleep, and literally parked, slept, and left. But the grounds looked so fun and we would love to stay again. Just a heads up to big vehicles that there is a verrry long and bumpy dirt road you'll need to drive down. Thank you, Kathleen!

We had a wonderful weekend staying at Kathleens it was nice and quiet with plenty of space to set up camp. A few bonuses were a waterfall which was a short walking distance from our site and a hiking trail all without having to leave! Looking forward to coming back in the future

Great place to camp!
We loved hot tenting here on Kathleen's land. There are some nice trails to walk and sights to see. Kathleen is extremely welcoming and will certainly find a way to help you if you need it. HIGHLY recommended and we will be back many times in the future!

Round #2 was much better than our first try. No equipment failure this time, everything was perfect! We have a great time enjoying a quiet night by the camp fire after a hike around Clinton Lake. Kathleen was her usual warm and welcoming self. Love it here!

Kathleen’a land is beautiful and very spacious. Kathleen is a very nice person, she will help you out on everything you need to get there. She also sell firewood for a very good price if you compare to buy on other places. Very recommended.

Site 2 - Paradise Valley Homestead
It was a series of equipment & trailer brake fails that put our one-night winter camping trip into a massive tailspin. The bad luck continued with a dead car battery the next morning. The only saving grace was host Kathleen was super flexible to accommodate our ever-changing schedule and so nice & helpful to jump our car, then pointed us to a scenic hiking trail to unwind after the checkout time.
The camp site was truly a boondock heaven. The first 2+ miles was a long one lane sloping dirt/gavel road, thus explains the 2 hour check-in/check-out gap to avoid conflicting traffic.
Sites #1 to #5 are close to a clean compost outhouse and a seasonal mountain spring water hose, but sites #6 to #10 are much further into the woods, so recommend that bringing your own portable toilet & water supply. The 10 camp sites are well spaced apart, unlike the congested RV parks with light pollution and generator noise, it also did not have the unnerving gun shot sounds during the hunting season. The tent sites are surprisingly large to accommodate multiple tents but may need a more rugged vehicles to get there.
There is no trash disposal, carry in & carry out only. Also, need to keep the food and trash locked up to avoid attracting bear. There is a nice well maintained trail that leads to the waterfall, it also branched off as Highland Trail (blue trail) to a nearby pond, and eventually connect to Clinton Reservoir. Hiking shoes are recommended. We will be back again to explore.

Chill spot
The land was meticulously, cared for. The staff was wonderful and involves. Got to meet Jason as he was cleaning one of the other campsites. Seems to be a wonderful spot that I will be revisiting again. Thank you so much everyone💕

Site 4 - Paradise Valley Homestead
The site I stayed at (site #4) was very spacious for car and tent camping. There was a fire pit and non-potable water for rinsing. The ground was clean and flat/level. The outhouse was very close to my site and clean! The common area has seating and tables which is super convenient if you didn’t bring your own. The hike to the small waterfall is close by and you can even do a short section of the Highland Trail to see the beautiful pond. Follow the cairns to find your way to the pond and back to the campsites. The family was so lovely and were so nice to check on me periodically since the weather was extra cold that weekend. I would highly recommend for a great secluded camping trip not too far from NYC.

Great campground close to the City!
I am so glad that Kathleen made her property available for people like me who likes to spend time in the woods. What’s cool about her place, there are trails around the area to explore. If you’re from NYC, it is just less than 1.5hr drive. Kathleen is a great host and is very responsive to my queries before making the reservation. The place is well maintained and very quite.

Camping here was awesome!!! My first time camping in about 15 years, and first time for my fiancé. Camp site was well maintained with a fire pit, the compost toilet was also very clean and well maintained. Kathleen was super friendly, welcomed us, asked if we needed anything or had any questions (which was great for two newish to camping). On top of that, as we were leaving our car battery died and Kathleen had a jump kit to help get us on our way. Could not recommend this location enough! We will definitely be back!

Second time here and just as great as the first. Kathleen’s hospitality is 10/10. Always shows up with a smile and willing to lend a helping hand. Would highly recommend, we have a 23ft sprinter and so far have stayed in 2 sites with ease!

Camping with friends
It was a great piece of land, as we were able to fit 2 cars, 2 tents & plenty of tables for cooking and dining. More than enough fire wood back at the house and it isn’t expensive, it’s a great deal. Not too far into the woods that you’re scared at night (if you aren't a frequent camper). But also, not too close to highway where you can hear cars throughout the night. Amazing hiking trails and an amazing host, Kathleen was great and I was definitely recommend this place for a relaxing, but eventful camping trip.

This was a wonderful site. It is so still, and quiet. The directions to get there were excellent. We were in a 23 foot campervan, and we got in easily, and out again :). Lovely outdoor spaces for eating and campfires, with logs available. There is a super clean compost toilet.
Kathleen was a fantastic, responsive host. Five stars from us! Thank you, we will be back if we can :)

Kathleen runs a top notch small scale campground! Nestled into the woods its a nice place to spend the night. You are surrounded by trees and each site comes with a fire pit. She also has firewood for sale. The sites are fairly close to one another (atleast the first 6) but it is far better than staying at a large campground or KOA. Great place for dogs. I would stay there again.
