Wombats Run, Flinders Island

5 sites · RVs, Tents1000 acres · Bridport, TAS
Dreamy Flinders Island is of exquisite natural beauty, with unique and plentiful wildlife. Wombats Run is 1,000 acres of privately owned property bordering Darling Range, dedicated to the protection of wildlife, especially unique, blond wombats that are roaming free across the land. This location is great for nature lovers, bird watching enthusiasts, romantics by heart and anyone who simply enjoys solitude and privacy. The nearest small town of Whitemark is only 5min away and has all basic needs, including great, hearty food at the local Interstate Hotel. Should you wish to hide away, we can organise basic supplies of local food and wine. South Path River creates a charming waterfall within the southern part of the property, while the upper mountain ranges offer uninterrupted views of the Bass Strait. The land has many secluded, private areas where the only sound is birdsong. We welcome self-contained campers, who have their own camp toilet, and take all waste with them when they go.
