Our property backs straight onto the Gascoyne river for plenty of river walks and adventures.
The iconic old 2-storey Sandhurst Tavern was damaged in a cyclone and deemed unrepairable. The existing building, 620m2 commenced as a lawn bowls, then became the Tavern once the 2-storey was damaged. It ceased operation 2017.
We are slowly renovating the existing building into a very large home.

Experience the superb Shark Bay area. We offer powered and unpowered van/camping sites. We have a cafe/shop and an in house guest pool, BBQ area and. We are the nearest park to the World Heritage Stromatolites, the Shell Block Quarry and Steep Point.
We have a temporary problem with our gas hot water system and waiting for the gas filter to come out and fit a new regulator.

The Historic Telegraph Station '1884' is on the park grounds as well as the Historic Post Office '1886' Now a Community Post Office. The Cafe/Restaurant caters for take away and eat in meals. This area is one of the best wildflower areas when in season because the South and the north regions meet in the Shark Bay region.
This park boasts one of the best areas to see an abundance of bird wildlife. Watch the beautiful sunsets over the Stromatolites which is most relaxing before retiring for the night. We are a small family run business and all costs are kept to a minimum. Please note that no water is potable and power allocations are limited therefore we request consumption is kept to a minimum.

Carnarvon is a coastal town situated approximately 900 km north of Perth, Western Australia. It lies at the mouth of the Gascoyne River on the Indian Ocean. The popular Shark Bay World Heritage area lies to the south of the town and the Ningaloo Reef lies to the north.
We are the park to relax in if you are looking for good company, green grass for the dog, and clean amenities. We are only a small park with under 50 caravan/tent bays available and 12 accommodation units on site.

Our time here was great. Gleyns and her Husband were great. They showed us around their property with the farm animals and were very welcoming. They also had two lovely pups which was a great addition!

Secured property and gorgeous hosts - we had a blast learning about the history of the pub and all the Reno's.

Glenys & Darryl are superb hosts! Plenty of room to have space to yourself (even with our 15m, just message prior to booking if you’re bigger than 10m). They are super accomodating of young kids and have lovely friendly dogs. What they have done already and have planned for their property is jaw dropping and such an inspiration. A little slice of bush paradise in Carnavon.

We upgraded to a room as it was 49 Deg. We did use the camp kitchen and we were excited to find a toasted sandwich press. The pool was great and the beach only 10m from most sites. The dolphin experience was also very good to be part of.

It was the perfect location. The Salt Baths were just what we needed after a long day of driving. Although we had booked a grass area and on arriving was told they were closed for the season our location was still fine. It was close to thr amenities and was perfect for what we needed for our time there.

From when I first arrived here Glenys and Darryl made us feel like family!
We parked up near the shed and connected to power and was able to look out to the horses every morning / night (the kids loved it!)
Their dogs were friendly and the kids loved playing with them and exploring - just out the back from the property is access to the river and more exploring from the kids. They are full of knowledge of the area as well as weather (tides and wind) and recommend the best day to go check out the blow holes and aquarium.
Highly recommend staying here wether it’s a stop over or for a few nights!!

The station was the favourite part of our 2 week holiday. With good food, entertainment and the natural hot springs it was perfect. We just struggled a little with no power because of our little bub and warming bottles. Lots of space though and great atmosphere. Going to stay for another couple of nights next time.

RAC Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort is absolutely incredible and a true paradise. To fully enjoy it, I recommend staying at least 3 days. The common areas were spotless, making the whole stay feel welcoming and very comfortable.
What really stood out were the many activities available — from exploring the stunning beach and observing wildlife to simply relaxing in such a peaceful setting. Every corner of the resort felt well cared for and inviting.
I loved my time here and will definitely return. It’s the kind of place that stays in your heart long after you leave.

Great spaces under magnificent trees on the banks of a beautiful, broad (dry) river, just off the Highway, but remarkably quiet. A bunch of happy campers spread over plenty of space.
