25 acre bushland property set amongst Jarrah and Marri trees. Once logged for its timber in the 1960's by Wundowie Steel Foundry for it's steel mills and furnaces, there are still many tall/older trees as well as regrowth. We often have Kangaroos, Wallabies, occasional Echidnas, Goannas, Lizards and many species of Birds. All live in the wild and there is no guarantee that we will see them
We grow wildflowers such as Proteas, Leucadendron , Leucospermum (pincushions),Banksias , Eucalypt - Silver Dollar, and Cut Flowers - Osteospermum, Zinnia and Gladioli, Kangaroo Paw and Bromeliads. We also have our native species - Grass Trees, Zamia Palm and Golden Wattle .
We also have fruit trees, chooks and a vegetable garden.
BUSH STAY ACCOMMODATION is available.The Olivia Cabin which will accommodate up to four people.TV,DVD, aircon, fridge, toaster, kettle and cutlery, plates etc.
We also have a large comfortable Tent to accommodate up to four people. Set up for the real bush experience. TV, DVD ,table and chairs .Beds and mattresses,sheets ,blankets, pillows, and doonas can be provided. You may bring your own tent,but only up to a mid sized four man tent.This is not an RV site.
Hear all the sounds of the bush at night! Check out the stars planets and the moon. The sky is so clear out here.
Caravans/Camper trailers are also welcome. One Powered site available.
A toilet, shower and Barbeque facilities are available and our Fire Pit is ok to use in Winter and share some toasted Marshmallows.
Local attractions include: Toodyay Emu Park, Archery Park, Avon Valley National Park and the Avon River, Paruna and Karakamia Wildlife Sanctuaries, Toodyay Townsite - Connors Mill,The Old Gaol and many other historical sites ,shops and restaurants. You can also visit the Swan Valley where there are many wineries ,pubs and restaurants.

Awesome experience, thank you Ed, the two nights that we stayed were so peaceful, a great short break that we would love to return again and again. Lovely, clean and happy camp. Great staff helping a wonk like me without too much laughter. Showers, kitchens and BBQs all clean and tidy with no need to remember a code or take a key. Spacious plot, easy hookup. Nothing to say against the site or local amenities. Amaze was fun for a morning,

Ed is a very welcoming host. His home is your home during your stay. Location is great for a peaceful getaway.
You have the option of power or no power. There is also the option of using a shared bathroom if not self sufficient.
The fire pit was available and Ed kept it well stocked with wood.
Altogether a very pleasant stay.

It was a great 3 days with the van facing the Avon River - access gate to wall along the river to town - if you didn’t want the 5 min walk via the road. The property is effectively in town at the rear of Oscar’s property. It was a little tight to get in and out with the (24ft) van. We will stay again and bring friends.

Oscar was a pleasure to deal with. The land is just large and rustic enough to make you feel like you could be anywhere - not on the edge of town.
There’s lovey bush walks at the back of the property, alongside Avon River.
All shops and cafes are just along the main road, a short walk away.
Toodyay is a delightful town. Beautiful old buildings, country charm and modern day amenities.
We would love to come back soon!

If you want quiet then this is the place to go. We had two fantastic days at ED’s place. Great night for star gazing and you could of heard a pin drop only 1 hour away from Perth
Ed joined us for chats and a couple of beers.
