Around the property there are many old historic farm buildings, including an original 'boundary riders' hut (circa 1870's).
The Yarriambiack Creek is the western boundary of the property, and is a haven for birds and wildlife such as kangaroos & wallabies. Ancient river redgums run along the creek which provide for nice shady spots in summer. The creek relies on seasonal rainfall, and when running, is deep enough for swimming or paddling around in a kayak. When dry, the creek bed makes a fantastic walking track.
If you are looking for a unique family holiday, or you are an artist and want to do some songwriting or painting, or just need to get out of the rat race and chill out, then this could be just the place for you.
10 mins to Murtoa, 15 mins to the Dooen Hotel, 20 mins to Horsham, 30 mins to Warracknabeal, 40 mins to the Grampians or Mt Arapilies.
A perfect base to explore the renowned Silo Art Trail, Murtoa Stick Shed, local lakes and waterways, state and national parks, and many other regional attractions.

Built on a working sheep farm, the setting is between two water areas on the east and west side of the building. Great for water bird and tortoise watching from the windows and for a swim and canoe break . That's if you want to leave unwinding in her warm lime rendered windows listening to the deep silence..
We are a handy halfway stop over 20 minutes north of the Western Highway for Melbourne/Adelaide travellers, and for keen walkers and climbers 30 minutes from the Northern Grampians (Gariwerd).
Other towns close by are Rupanyup, 10 minutes up the road, and Stawell /Horsham, 35 kms to 40 kms each with their own unique attractions.
Meera’ is the second largest super adobe building in Victoria and attracts lots of curiosity from visitors regarding her uniqueness.
The space
Used also as a venue for music teaching, singing and performing and much more,
Meera is a one room thick walled, lime rendered space - a nine metre circle with a swirly almost cylindrical section enclosing a rounded sleeping space -the bed womb. This creates a spacious king size, futon style sleeping platform that can accommodate a snuggly family or whatever sleeping arrangements you like.
Enjoy sunrise, sunset and look up to see the blue skies and clouds scudding in the mosaic wrapped oculus above. A grand piano is in pride of place.
There is wrap around seating, hand sculpted arched windows to curl up in and a parquetry floor created from Australian timbers

Our property is a 180 year old historic homestead hobby farm with river frontage on the Glenelg River and a wonderful established garden.
We have three different listings available at Fulham Homestead:

Our Guesthouse sleeps up to 8 people and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including two bathrooms and a full kitchen. Unfortunately dogs are not able to stay at the homestead.
Our camping sites offer good access for caravans and large motorhomes. All guests staying at the camping listings are required to be fully self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must leave no trace on departure.
The camping areas are dog friendly and we also have dogs of our own.
You will also get visits from our pet Sheep, local Kangaroos and Wallabies. The Kookaburras will laugh loudly in the mornings and the Cockies will be annoyingly loud some days.
This is an ideal base for those that want to do day trips to explore the local area or just plop and drop.

Communication with reception was excellent and informative. Setting and location was Fabulous. Facilities were great, very quaint and unusual but practical and easy to use. Well appointed kitchen equipment.
A cat roaming around was the only negative I could think of.

What a spot! If you want to see an abundance of animals then this is the spot! Camp-site are well set up with clean modern amenities and fire drums with bone dry timber supplied. Heated pools top it off. Great for families and couples alike. Totally recommend.

Probs the best caravan park I've been to. New amenities, always clean. Lotsa space. About a 50 min walk into town via the 🚴♂️cycle lane. Nice with the grampians in the background 🌄
Loads of cockatoos, Rosellas and magpies taking their shifts throughout the day scavenging around the grass for a feed. Wake up to kangaroos next to your tent after the kookaburra morning alarm, short walk to see the local emus. If you like wildlife, please please do not feed birds human food (too many people doing this), it's so bad for them. The barista coffee at reception is actually really good too. Extended my stay a coupla times.

One of the best campsites we’ve been too and very reasonable rate for the unpowered site. Beautiful views of the surroundings of the Grampians with Kangaroos feeding in the evening. Showers and toilets were modern, well equipped kitchen and BBQ areas, and a wood heated pool! It was quiet when we went with not too many kids around which probably helped too.
