Ladybug Camping is a brand-new private campground offering a unique and peaceful escape in Oldina, Tasmania. Set among waterfalls, bubbling creeks, and towering trees, it’s the perfect retreat for families, couples, and groups looking to unwind in nature. The grounds feel more like a bushland park than a traditional campground. Offering privacy and tranquility and nestled in a sheltered valley, the campground is naturally protected from the wind, making even less-than-perfect days feel pleasant for camping. You might spot a platypus gliding through the creek, Tasmania’s giant freshwater crayfish beneath the rocks, or plenty of pademelons grazing at dusk. Each campsite includes a picnic table and a perfectly placed firepit—great for meals, campfire chats, or stargazing under the clear Tassie sky. Whether you're exploring forest trails or simply enjoying the peaceful setting, Ladybug Camping invites you to experience the magic of the Tasmanian bush in comfort and style. We’re ideally located for day trips and local adventures. Visit the stunning Table Cape Tulip Farm (in season), explore the walking tracks and lookouts of Dip Falls and the Big Tree Reserve, or head to Boat Harbour Beach for a swim in crystal-clear waters. You’ll also find charming cafes, farm gates, and local markets nearby in Wynyard and surrounds. Be sure to explore our unique campsite options—some feature special touches like an outdoor cinema, ambient lighting, or even a tree swing to delight the young and young-at-heart. Every site has its own charm, you will be sure to find one that suits your style of stay.

Wobbly Gate Estate

2. Wobbly Gate Estate

69km from Port Sorell · 8 sites · Lodging
Welcome to Wobbly Gate Estate! This is glamping with a side of real camping in the Tasmanian bush. Goats and sheep will stroll around and you have over 20 acres all to yourself to explore. We're located up a gravel road on the northwest coast, you won't find any other tourists here. Soak in the woodfired tub, under the blackwood tree. Cosy up to the wood fire, roasting marshmallows in your star Gazer yurt. A comfy queen bed and a backyard of adventure, it's a Tasmanian version of luxury camping. Our Yurt location is known as The Top Paddock - A Little Inside Information: Well in my opinion (and a few others) I am Living The Dream! I started living here permanently seven years ago, most of the property's out dwellings and the Cabin is built from recycled, reclaimed materials or been handed down. I am fully off the grid and in the process of trying to become self-sufficient. The water is pumped from a springfed dam and mostly gravity-ed. It's a little like McDonald's Farm, an array of birds and animals. There's an orchard, hothouse and a Raspberry patch which may be my favourite spot when they're fruiting. It really is an amazing lifestyle, peaceful, relaxing and rewarding. You should come see for yourself 😉
