You can walk out the door with your surfboard, bike, or running shoes and jump in the ocean or onto several beautiful coastal walking and riding trails. We are 10 minutes away from Lauderdale shops and 10 mins to the best surf beaches in Hobart on the South Arm Peninsula. Pitch your tent or park your set up on our beautiful grassy hilltop campsite overlooking the South Arm Peninsula and Mt Wellington in the distance. You'll enjoy good access to Mays Point surf break and the Clarence Coastal Trail just a few mins away with walking tracks to Cremorne and Lauderdale along the coast. The camping area has a communal fire pit, access to fresh water and power in our large shed if needed, and a table tennis table. We are on tank water, so please be mindful of this. And please drive slowly and be mindful of treading lightly on the land. We also offer a 5m lotus belle stargazer tent, situated at the very top of the property, nestled amongst the native trees and with water views, it has a luxurious queen-sized bed with beautiful linens and is a short walk away from the walking tracks to the beach. All guests have access to our well-maintained composting toilet with water views and a beautiful hot outdoor shower that is open to the sky. Next door is a large sheep property, and on our land we have friendly chooks, peacocks, Guinea pigs, miniature goats, horses and a border collie. Guests and children are welcome to pat, feed and cuddle the chooks, Guinea pigs, horses and the miniature goats! Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly with other dogs and people, and can be trusted not to escape to the next-door sheep property (beware as farmers can be ruthless with dogs!). We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained). We have 3km of our own hiking trails, and great mountain biking. Drop your kayak or fishing rod in just a few meters from the property. Please note: We only accept one vehicle setup per group (e.g combi-van, car+ campertrailer, car+caravan). We do however have a decent level parking area not far from the camping site, so if you have multiple vehicles yet are tent camping for example, you can park the additional vehicles in the carpark and walk to camp. Multiple caravanners traveling together will need to book separately. We accept well-behaved pets. Most of the sites don’t have power, but we have a charging area for your devices. We also have a composting toilet, portaloo and an outdoor passive solar shower. Do you have an event we can help host? We could easily accommodate 30-40 for a day event. Enquire if interested!

Three Creeks Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, and with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and some firewood and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

Bruny coastal camping & funky barn

Paddock camping (temporarily unavailable for winter season ) or upgrade to the Funky Barn at cheap rates for bruny! Situated on a small coastal farm above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island 2 options available: Comfortable lodging (rustic but stylish converted horse barn) with a double bed in the loft, clean sheets provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. There is also a Camp site available for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area. The camp area and barn are in a peaceful location in a pasture paddock on 8 acres with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It's a 10 minute walk through the property and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach or just five minutes walk down to the sea cave. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and privacy. Dogs are subject to pre-approval but must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. The property boundary is fenced so there is plenty of exercise space. Horses may be in rhe paddock in winter and spring. We will advise you when booking if they are. . And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. This is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

Farnese Olivo is a family hobby farm set on 5 acres overlooking the Coal River Valley in Acton Park, just 15 minutes from Hobart CBD. The Duck Hole is a historic farm dam offering a quiet rural experience. COMPLIMENTARY INCLUSIONS: All campers have free access to: - potable drinking water - shower (open air, cold only) - bring bathers. Great in summer, only for the brave in winter! - rubbish bins - fire pit - firewood (provided for free, for use in the fire pit) - cast iron bbq plate and skillets for cooking in the fire pit - picnic table and chairs overlooking the dam - dam side hammock - portable cassette toilet (located outdoors) The property was established in the early 1980s on the site of one of Hobarts oldest farms (the original house built in 1826 still stands as a beautiful family home 2 doors up on our street). The old dairy still stands as visitor accomodation opposite the front of our property offering a glimpse of farm life from the past 200 years. A tradition we maintain today with having a sustainable orchard with just over 100 trees. Seasonal Fresh produce is available to purchase. We are home to friendly hand reared heritage british sheep (they love cuddles and food!), Ducks (Wild and Pet) and Chickens. Overlooking the historic dam there is a shared fire pit with firewood supplied complimentary. We ask that on days of total fire ban, this is respected. We can only accept self-contained campers, so you will need to have your own camp toilet or use the cassette toilet provided. There is a dump point within 6km, located in Cambridge Park for those with their own toilet. Public toilet and showers are located close by at Seven Mile Beach and Roches Beach (both about 5 mins drive) Some minor leveling may be required. The sheep pen and duck hole sites are pretty much flat. The coal valley and ash sites require minor levelling. As we have farm animals, you will get to hear our sheep and ducks enjoying their environment. However, it is very quiet of an evening/night. We love meeting new people and are passionate about our property we can’t wait to share it with you and your family!

Deep Glen is a beautiful, quiet 5 acre property at Eaglehawk Neck, gateway to the stunning Tasman Peninsula. Hiking, surfing, fishing, swimming, diving are all at your doorstep, not to mention the famous Three Capes Track and the Port Arthur Historic site just a short drive away. If you want to see the coast shown in these photos, both the Tasman Island Cruise and Wild Ocean Tasmania offer excellent trips Bookings are for two adults; children under 16 are free. It may be possible for larger groups to occupy one site - please enquire before booking. As the site is teeming with wildlife including the barred bandicoot, we don't allow dogs. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. Vegan/Vegetarian Nala Pakana

Nala Pakana is a 79-acre vegetarian/vegan property nestled in native Australian bush roughly one hour's drive from Hobart Tasmania. A wildlife refuge where love and care for the natural environment are of high priority. Verona Sands beach is located at the end of the road, the ferry to Bruny Island half an hour away, and there are ample opportunities to see black cockatoos, wallabies, paddymelons, echidnas, faery wrens and wedge-tailed eagles and so many more, a twitcher's paradise. The small wooden home is off the grid, built by hand over forty years ago with timber from the property and no power tools. There is an extensive permaculture garden enclosed by a corrugated iron fence built from recycled materials. The resident companion animals are three dogs, a cat, four bunnies, three roosters, six chickens, and two goats. Nick and Theresa have one eight year-old daughter who follows a natural learning approach to education, so no school. We spend our time gardening, building from recycled materials, and cooking. Nick is a fantastic bush builder and can mend, and renovate anything out of scraps. Theresa is a very experienced Ayurvedic vegan cook and gardener. Nick spent many years as a school teacher and canvas maker Theresa taught meditation, mindful living, and cooking. Both Nick and Theresa share a great love for the natural world, natural living, and a life informed by intuition. Theresa, Nick, and their daughter are all vegans and Nala Pakana is a vegetarian property that welcomes good dogs who don't need fencing and won't kill the wildlife.

We have a combination of native eucalypt forest and plantation, and we grow hay and our own beef. We have many walking and bike trails through 150 acres of forest and pasture accessible to campers. The campsite has spring water on tap, a hot shower, toilet, rustic camp kitchen, wood stove, gas BBQ, level sites, and a campfire when permitted. Tent sites are flexible so you can choose your own space within a 2-hectare area, while Level pad sites are limited. The Port Arthur Historic Site and a safe swimming beach are within walking distance and Safety Cove and Remarkable Cave are only a 5-minute drive away. Longer walks, including the Three Capes tracks, are easily accessible. Launch your boat nearby to access good fishing or fish for squid off the Port Arthur jetty. There is plenty of wildlife to see at night and birds during the day. You might even see our resident Wedgetail Eagle! Dog-friendly (must be under control/on a lead/contained). Situated on a small coastal farm above the cliffs of Adventure Bay, at the southern end of the neck beach, and in a central location for exploring Bruny Island 2 options available: Comfortable lodging (rustic but stylish converted horse barn) with a double bed in the loft, clean sheets provided, living and kitchen area. Magnificent ocean views from the lounge or when lying in bed next to the window upstairs. There is also a Camp site available for just one group at a time in a relatively flat area. The camp area and barn are in a peaceful location in a pasture paddock on 8 acres with lots of birdlife and walks nearby. It's a 10 minute walk through the property and along the picturesque cliff top coastline to the neck beach or just five minutes walk down to the sea cave. The main house where we live part time is on the property, but you still have your own space and privacy. Dogs are subject to pre-approval but must be kept under control if our horses or dogs are on the property. The property boundary is fenced so there is plenty of exercise space. Horses may be in rhe paddock in winter and spring. We will advise you when booking if they are. . And please don’t expect Airbnb standards if you chose to stay in the barn. This is a fun affordable upgrade/escape from camping without the glamour and high fees of glamping.

A completely private campsite all to yourselves within a short drive to many Bruny Island attractions. Three Creeks Farm is our new 100-acre forest and pasture farm that we will begin improving over the next 18 months. The property is located at the base of Bruny's Isthmus, enjoying cool sea breezes in summer and mild temperatures in winter. The Woodlander Campsite is set in our bottom forest paddock, next to a dam, and with a seasonal winter creek. It is private and peaceful, with no other campers, houses, or nearby neighbours. We welcome travellers, with up to two vehicles, who are here to enjoy the peace and quiet (no parties please). The campsite has its own separate access, site toilet, solid picnic table and chairs, firepit and some firewood and is approximately 600 meters from where we live. Next to 70 acres of forest the location is great for birdlife, with many of Tassie's endemics around, and other wildlife abundant after dark. We are always happy to help with birding or wildlife tips! Based approx 5 minutes from Alonnah and 10 minutes from Adventure Bay, the "Woodlander" is central to so much of what Bruny Island has to offer.

Toilet and power is available upon request. Campers are asked to take all their waste and rubbish with them on departure.

Fickle Break Farm is a 28-acre coastal property on the doorstep of a world-class surf break, only 30 mins from Hobart. You can walk out the door with your surfboard, bike, or running shoes and jump in the ocean or onto several beautiful coastal walking and riding trails. We are 10 minutes away from Lauderdale shops and 10 mins to the best surf beaches in Hobart on the South Arm Peninsula. Pitch your tent or park your set up on our beautiful grassy hilltop campsite overlooking the South Arm Peninsula and Mt Wellington in the distance. You'll enjoy good access to Mays Point surf break and the Clarence Coastal Trail just a few mins away with walking tracks to Cremorne and Lauderdale along the coast. The camping area has a communal fire pit, access to fresh water and power in our large shed if needed, and a table tennis table. We are on tank water, so please be mindful of this. And please drive slowly and be mindful of treading lightly on the land. We also offer a 5m lotus belle stargazer tent, situated at the very top of the property, nestled amongst the native trees and with water views, it has a luxurious queen-sized bed with beautiful linens and is a short walk away from the walking tracks to the beach. All guests have access to our well-maintained composting toilet with water views and a beautiful hot outdoor shower that is open to the sky. Next door is a large sheep property, and on our land we have friendly chooks, peacocks, Guinea pigs, miniature goats, horses and a border collie. Guests and children are welcome to pat, feed and cuddle the chooks, Guinea pigs, horses and the miniature goats! Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly with other dogs and people, and can be trusted not to escape to the next-door sheep property (beware as farmers can be ruthless with dogs!). They will need to be supervised and restrained (tied up or placed in our closed-in yard at night so they don’t disturb wallabies and other wildlife). We love meeting new people and are passionate about our beautiful property so we can’t wait to share it with you!
