Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too! Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. If you have rented a Fiat Motorhome you wont be able to get to the campground We have one toilet available for shared use, self contained campers are encouraged to use their own facilities where possible. Situated within the Coal Valley Wine Region and just 30 minutes from Hobart, the property is the perfect location for travelers looking to sample glorious local food and wine, before returning to their picturesque base camp to recharge. Also very close to some great beaches where you can enjoy water activities. There is a boat ramp on the other side of bay approximately 5kms away. There are shops and cafes just down the road at Adventure Bay. 1.5 hours drive from Hobart. Guests must be full self contained with their own toilet/shower facilities and must take all waste with them on departure. Campfires are welcome in the fire pit provided. Finding us couldn't be easier , just turn right at the welcome to Franklin sign when driving from Huonville. Our gate has two big gum stumps as posts. Early arrival/ caravan drop off possible. please contact us to arrange With big views up the Huon Valley and over the river, this campsite will be sure to provide a great stay. The property is a 5 minute walk into the Historic town of Franklin, where there are are pubs and restaurants. We have 2 flat sites and 3 slight gradient sites, all are far apart. All sites accessible by 2wd depending on weather. There are no facilities, so the site is suitable for self contained campers only, There is dump for toilet water. The site also has drinking water water available free. Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash. Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask. The property has an orchard of cherry plums, apples, pears, lemons and apricots. There are great walks and sites to see in the local area. It's possible to see Aurora from your campsite, but not guaranteed.

We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. Located in Southport, 15 minutes south of Dover, this is a great place to base yourself and explore the local region and all it has to offer. We are located within walking distance to the beach (250m), and the wharf (500m, and a great spot for fishing), and a short drive to Southport Tavern with take away shop 1.3kms (great meals). There are also plenty of good bush walks in the area - Adamsons Falls, South Cape Track, Duckhole Lake and Hastings Caves. The thermal pools are also close by! Camping here is for self-contained campers only, for those that have their own toilet. All waste is to be taken when you leave. We offer five-level grass sites with easy access. Four have power and water hook-ups and one site with it close by. There is an enclosed campers kitchen, with hot water, gas BBQ, and a wood heater. Contact the Host should you require further details.

Lazy Lab Farms is a lovely property located in a quiet rural location around 30 minutes from the CBD of Hobart, also located around 10 minutes from the lovely town of New Norfolk. With sheep, chicken, ducks, and of course a Lazy Lab, there are plenty of animals for guests to meet and greet. Camping at Lazy Lab has a great view of the Derwent River and is on a gentle slope. Campers will have access to fresh mains water. A fire pot is provided. All campers must be self-contained as we don't offer toilet facilities, so please bring your own camp toilet.

Such a lovely spot! Nigel was more than accomodating and helped us find the perfect spot, out of the wind, overlooking the ocean! Great base for exploring all Bruny has to offer. We had 2 wonderful nights here and would definitely return the next time we’re in Tassie!

Beach Views is such a beautiful place to camp! A beautiful spacious area, plenty of room for 7 of us to set up tents and an area to enjoy the stunning view. Truly seconds from the beach, moments from amenities, an exceptional base from which to explore beautiful Bruny Island. We would definitely camp here again!

The host was friendly and very helpful, while we couldn’t set camp at the orchard site due to the inclement weather Darren offered a drier patch though more exposed and close to the highway it was still nice. Darren shared tips on best places to buy local produce etc

We loved our stay at Prossers Ridge. Perfect for our van. Fabulous views and close to Richmond. We used the place as a base for 6 nights to explore Richmond Port Arthur Maria Island wine tasting at Pooley Winery and golf at the Coal Valley Golf Course. Great and easy to follow instructions from Paul. Highly recommend this place for all types of camping. 10/10 (a little windy but not much you can do about the weather and you are on a ridge)

We stayed at this camp and would recommend it highly. We towed our 18ft caravan to the top of the hill. The ground was firm and we had a lovely sea view. Nigel gave us some of his local knowledge and our 3 nights spent at this camp were very quiet.

What an incredible spot, one of the best campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. 360 views, plenty of spots for a fire, so much effort has been put into the spot. Toilet was built beautifully and nice and clean. Amazing spot 11/10!
