Established as a caravan park in 1954 Brownhill Creek Tourist Park is the perfect place to relax and unwind in tranquil surroundings.

Steeped in history and wild life, Brownhill Creek Tourist Park offers the ease of access to many walking and cycling trails where ruins of the early 1900’s can be seen along with the 400 year old tree in the centre of the park called “The Monach”.

Gum Gully was the name of the gully where the original settlers met for local church worship under a large gum tree. This campsite is located Eastern Adelaide hills & adjacent to Lavender Federation Trail. Kangaroos can be seen at sunrise & at dusk.

The property is gated with access via a coded keypad and the code will be provided once booking is confirmed.
Toilets are not provided so all vehicles must be self contained, however sullage points on each site are available. Dump point is available. Generators are permitted until 10 pm.
No responsibility will be taken for any injury, accident, damage, theft to campers, their property or pets whilst staying at Adelaide Hills Rutland Park RV. Vet or wound care to any property stock caused by campers pets will be at the pet owners cost.

Welcome to our home Tanah Merdeka! Enjoy a private and picturesque camp-site by the creek with views of rolling hills, rocky outcrops and ancient gumtrees. Watch the Kangaroos and the birdlife, see if you can spot a yabbee or frog in the creek and sit back and unwind.
Tanah Merdeka is a 184 acre cattle farm currently stocked with Black Baldies, Speckle Park, Angus and Hereford.
The creek line paddocks are dedicated to Hipcampers, so you can be assured your campsite won't be interrupted by curious cows during your stay. We can't say the same for the wild kangaroos that call Tanah Merdeka home though.
Please be respectful of the working nature of the property and shut any gates you go through except for the automatic gates. Please respect our privacy and don't venture up the driveway towards the house.
You are welcome to walk through and explore the paddocks containing the creek line. Do not drive across the creek - walking and bicycles only.
Please do not feed the wildlife or the cattle and practice leave no trace camping. For stays longer than one night campers must bring a portable chemical toilet. Use only the firepit provided and comply with current fire danger restrictions. Some firewood may be available next to the firepit but please bring your own firewood if intending to have a fire as this can't be guaranteed.
Dogs are allowed off lead within the fenced camping paddock but be aware of grass seeds.

It was so peaceful and relaxing. The surroundings were stunning. The Caravan Park was nice, tidy, clean and all the amenities worked perfectly. The pool, playground, cafe & BBQ areas were always clean and well stocked. The staff were polite and helpful, always asking was everything ok and did you need anything whenever you passed them. Other campers were courteous and friendly. We will be heading back there again soon.

Lovely well kept site with amazingly clean facilities (hot showers, toilets, swimming pool). Owners were incredibly helpful and kind. Cafe on site as well. Phone/data coverage is very limited the further in the site you go (unpowered site section particularly) but it's only a short walk up towards the office to be online.

Camping at Kangaroo Creek was lovely! Thomas met us upon arrival and told us about his beautiful land (and his adorable cows!). He was really nice and let us explore the grounds.
The camp spot was private, quiet and was great for pitching our tent. We even saw a couple of kangaroos and a lot of cockatoos! The drive there was easy with a 2WD.
We would definitely go back, and I can recommend it to everyone regardless of camping style!

Very convenient location if visiting the northern side of Adelaide. Golden Grove, Salisbury and Elizabeth are less than 15 minutes away.
Helen and her husband were very accommodating, they have their own dump point and there is a fire pit you can use outside of fire ban season.
Starlink had good visibility to the sky and our small dogs had room to run.
Would definitely stay again.
