A small family run certified organic farm with a Pinot vineyard, views over piccadilly valley, and fruit orchard. Set behind the beautiful Mt Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills and only 20 minutes from the city. Our farm has a Bernese Mountain Dog named Lotti, 6 ducks, 4 chooks, and a cat named Alfie. Surrounded on one side by National Park and the other by vineyards and plenty of wineries. The next township is just a few minutes away and has all the necessary needs (pharmacy, GP, pub, general store). Within 10 minutes you can rock climb or go swimming in a fresh waterhole. It’s a beautiful part of the world.

Nestled between the Adelaide Hills and the Barossa Valley, Humble Farm offers a picturesque country setting where you can pull up your caravan or pitch your tent. Set on 100 acres of open rolling hills with pockets of ancient gums and rocky outcrops, the property is alive with wildlife — think kangaroos, eagles, echidnas, hares, frogs, and butterflies. Camp alongside Saunders Creek (which flows in winter), in the shadow of historic ruins, and across from Humble Farm’s newly established orchard. Enjoy a large fire pit during the cooler months (strictly April to October). Humble Farm lies within an International Dark Sky Reserve, treating guests to some of the clearest views of the night sky and its constellations. Young children can enjoy the playground — complete with a sandpit and water pump, cubby house, swings, and monkey bars — just a short walk up the hill from the campsite. The main residence is over the hill on the opposite side of the property, ensuring privacy. Only one site is offered per night to maintain peace and serenity (if you’re traveling with others, enquire about multiple sites at a discounted rate). There is no toilet or shower block — public toilets are a 10-minute drive away if you don’t have your own setup. No potable water is available. As this is a working farm, dogs are welcome but must remain on a long lead. No motorbikes, please. Conveniently located just 10 minutes from Mount Pleasant (home of the Mount Pleasant Farmers’ Market) and 10 minutes from Springton (home of the historic Herbig Family Tree), Humble Farm is an ideal base for exploring. Spend an afternoon in the cafés of Lobethal or Woodside, sample the best of the Barossa high country at its many cellar doors, or venture to the Riverland — all within a 25-minute drive. If it’s tranquility you seek, set out on foot along the nearby Lavender Federation Trail or explore the backroads by bike and connect with the Kidman Trail.

We are on a small parcel of acreage along the Bremer river, we have 3 horses, pony and a mixed bunch of chickens. 🐓 Paddock with shelter available $25 per horse per night, 2kms up the hill is the Monarto woodlands great for trail riding. The Riverland is an amazing place to visit, full of so many surprises! The variety in the landscape, from harsh limestone plains to beautiful rolling sandhills, to the beauty of the Murry River. There is so much wildlife to see especially when it comes to bird watching! And the area is full of history! In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! We may be moving sheep, shearing, crutching, fencing, feeding the farm animals, milking our house goats etc. Even come for a horse ride (further info in 'Extras")! Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please discuss this with us prior to booking and they must be on a lead at all time. Sites are family friendly. I absolutely loved camping at the plateau. Its such a beautiful serene place. Fantastic for the rugged style camping. The views are spectacular and Jarrod is such a fantastic host. Make sure you have a strong sturdy tent, I recommend a dome tent as the winds can get intense sometimes as your very high up. This style of camping is for experienced campers. I loved every part of it and I will definitely be going up there regularly.

If you love peace and quiet the this is the place! Around 5km off the main road. Running water in toilet an unexpected bonus in a remote camp. Very friendly communications with the owners. Also a fantastic spot for star gazers. Only minor downside is that lack of rain has left the site a bit dusty.

We had a great time at stockyard plains. The site was nice and secluded but still had some luxuries like a flushable toilet and sink with running water to prep meals and clean up. Leanne and the family were super helpful and our boys loved meeting the animals, going on a horse ride and playing with their young boys. We also found that this was a good base to explore some of the Barossa’s wineries and other great areas in the River Lands. We will definitely be back and will stay a bit longer.
