Lewiston Rolling Vineyards

2 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Lewiston, SA
Located just 45 minutes from Adelaide CBD, you will find our large open camping area that backs on to beautiful vineyards. Only 25 km from the small historic town of Gawler which is a lovely place to visit and close to a horse riding club and equestrian centre. The ground is level allowing for an easy camp set up and the site is located at the back of our property and there is minimal little human movement most of the time so you will enjoy a peaceful stay. Thompson beach is approximately 20kms where you can put your boat in and enjoy some great fishing. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet and must take all waste and rubbish with them on departure. Sorry, no pets.

Wombat Creek Camp

7 sites · RVs, Tents20 acres · Cambrai, SA
Just 1.5 hours from Adelaide, Wombat Creek Camp is located on the eastern side of the Adelaide Hills and Mount Lofty Ranges, and close to the Marne River. Campers can enjoy the peace and tranquillity around the clock, sit patiently waiting for the wombats to go foraging or relax in front of a fire. This campsite suits self-contained campers with own camping toilet/shower amenities and pets are welcome. This campsite is an excellent base from which to make day trips to the Murray River, the world-renowned Barossa wine region or the Adelaide Hills, all of which are about 34-45 minutes away. Campers can go 4WD driving on a track 10 minutes away and visit a wildlife sanctuary. If you have a black light you will see the Wombats in the dark. There is also a walking trail nearby, and a community native garden to visit. This area comes into “The International Dark Sky Reserve,” which means on a clear night, there are Stars a plenty. I may come down to site to meet n greet if I’m home. RV dump points are about half an hour away, one in Mt Pleasant at the oval and one across the River in Mannum. All access is best from Three Chain rd, thru the neighbours gate, and once thru the gate, please keep left to remain on my property. I ask that all tenters and swaggers please bring a portable camping toilet. Tents don’t do too well in the case of strong winds which can occur, however, I have had many a tents here in the past. Every first Sunday of the month, the Cambrai Agricultural museum is open, and also the Old Barn at Sedan has open mike free entry with light meals and a lisence bar . A good Sunday outing close by. Also , large groups over 30 plus ppl are welcome , and I will close other bookings for your event, be it a renunion, or an anniversary of some sort, or a club meeting,
