Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Please note that Pymbroke is in the Murraylands zone & fire danger season starts early. 1st November 2025.

We are located walking distance from lake alexandrina, we’re there are plenty of activities to do such as fishing, boating, and more. There is abundance of wildlife with our resident mob of kangaroos stoping by daily it’s a bird watchers paradise. This site is a 4 minute walk from the main house and is completely private. The property has its own private road so plenty of room for kids to ride their bikes, we have horses and cows that guests are welcome to feed over the fence. Dogs are welcome lots of room for them to run around, we also have paddle boards for hire. The town of milang has its own mini mart and cafe and on weekends the train museum is open for viewing. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Been to this spot twice and will definitely be back. For how close it is to Adelaide, makes a weekend away so convenient. The track to the site is fairly rough and does require a larger vehicle for it to be comfortable, but the river and surrounding areas are worth the bumpy journey.

The camp was awesome, we stayed in The Carobs. The sites are closer together than I expected but we were lucky enough to have the whole camp to ourselves for most of our stay! The range of fire pits Rodney had available to borrow was awesome and having wood on site for $20 was convenient!

1 night at Pymbroke Camp

We had The Gums - and the rest of the camping areas all to ourselves - and it was very peaceful - with fabulous birdlife chattering, feeding, squawking - set up camp right by the creek, watched the sun go down behind an old gum tree on the bank and watched the sun rise light onto the same bank. We rolled the portable fire out to where we we had set up camp, and the very clean long drop was in walking distance, but far enough away, to where we camped.

The place is very beautiful and quiet, with the sites widely spaced, allowing for privacy between visitors. The entrance path is quite rocky and steep, so you should take it slowly and carefully. I would recommend this place for a night or a weekend getaway.
