Grass Trees Campground sits high on one of the region’s tallest mountain tops, offering sweeping views over Agnes Water, the 1770 Estuary and sandbar, Bustard Bay, and Eurimbula National Park. Sunrises and sunsets here are nothing short of spectacular. Choose from 20 unpowered sites or glamping tents—ideal for those who want the camping experience without the gear. On-site amenities include a new toilet and shower block, camp kitchen, communal firepit, wood-fired pizza oven, and a magnesium swimming pool. As a wildlife sanctuary, no pets are allowed.
1770 Eco Camp, located at the base of the mountain and just 2 minutes from town, offers a peaceful bushland escape. Camp under the stars or opt for a glamping tent surrounded by tropical gardens and freshwater dams. Facilities include a modern toilet and shower block, communal kitchen with BBQs and firepit, and a rustic chill-out zone with pool table and kids’ games. Experience the bespoke bushland boardwalk, meandering along a carefully chosen path and inviting you to tune into a natural harmony of bird calls, rustling leaves and gentle breezes. The bushland boardwalk can be accessed by wheelchairs and prams, and our spacious undercover BBQ Area offers a generous space for shade, rest and wildlife observations.

Beautiful campground near to Agnes Water. Connection to nature is key here, the hosts built an impressive boardwalk to walk into the forrest (pram friendly) with signage about animals and trees. Clean facilities and nice hosts.

Ripper spot, just out of down. Everything you need and plenty of space to setup and have a peaceful camp. Beautiful property with lots of fun trails and attractions! Would definitely stay here again. The kangaroos and kookaburras are the cherry on top! Hosts were lovely and had great knowledge of the local area.

23E was a quiet site while we were there but there were a few factors to consider.
We found the site very Rocky which made setting up a tent difficult.
It is a short distance from the bathrooms and camp kitchen. Maybe about 200m downhill.
Other than that, the site was good as we could bring our dog.
I would recommend this site for a stay of a few nights.

Myself and my partner stayed 2 nights for a weekend getaway and were beyond happy with the stay. Mike and his family were extremely welcoming and there were more secluded spots available for privacy. It was a quick drive into town and the area was quiet and peaceful with plenty of lovely wide-life. The toilets and showers were a massive bonus and clean and tidy at all times. Although we didn’t use them the hot plates, microwave and kettle could be very helpful. We will definitely be back Thankyou Mike, Michi and family 😁
