Rock Shelf Campsite at Curl Curl

This campsite is situated on top of a beautiful sandstone rock shelf in Curl Curl, NSW. The site has views across the valley to North Curl Curl.  We keep native stingless bees and other beautiful native animals.

Located only 300m from the Beaches best surf beach which has two beautiful rock pools to explore.  Especially good for people that are not used to the surf.

The 33km Northern Beaches Coast Walk is nearby.  Cafes with views are everywhere. Only 30 minutes drive to Ku-ring-gai National Park. Close to W'gah mall and public transport for easy access to Manly and the city.

Pets are welcome and we have a fire pit available.  Please bring your own firewood.

Down by the Hawkesbury

Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms.

Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river.

Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests.

Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not.

Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney.

We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river.  The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice!

We have one basic toilet, and one river water shower available too! Please bring your own drinking water. 

​Fires are only permitted when allowed, in the designated areas only.

Hosts provide Kayaks for a paddle in the river.  

C Colo - just beautiful

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts. 
The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today. 
Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

Situated on the edge of the Blue Mountains escarpment, our property has sweeping views overlooking the Sydney basin all the way to the coast. Camp atop our trigonometry point (the highest point in the district) and watch over the city as the lights turn on at dusk. Perfect for NYE and Australia Day fireworks 🎆 or some weekend tranquility just one hour's drive from Sydney.You can use the property as a base to explore the area. It's only 30 mins to Bents Basin, a deep waterhole that forms part of a gorge on the Nepean River, offering swimming, fishing and walking tracks.We are pet friendly! Campfires are also allowed, so you can enjoy the spot around a crackling fire.Campers must have own amenities and leave no trace.

Eiden Hill

Eiden Hill is a beautiful well maintained property in Kurrajong overlooking Sydney. Conveniently located not too far from town but far enough to enjoy the serenity. Water available all around the property, take your pick of a few different camp sites.
