"Willowbank" is a stunning 252 acre property located in the picturesque Karuah River valley with 1km of river frontage. The property has been in our family for 4 generations, being bought by Ian's great grandfather in the 1920's. We cater for guests that are looking to get back to nature and enjoy the great outdoors without feeling overcrowded! We want our guests to be happy and have the best experience possible. Located only 8 minutes drive from the historical town of Stroud which was settled by the AA Company in the 1820's as a food growing area. There are still many beautiful buildings from that period to explore. A dairy farm for many years, we switched over to beef around 15 years ago. Currently we run around 120 head of Angus and mixed breed cattle. Within 3 hours drive of Sydney and around an hour from the Barrington National Parks, Newcastle, Maitland, Forster and Nelson Bay, it makes it the perfect destination for a weekend getaway! We are offering 6 beautiful, partly shaded, camping sites along the pristine Upper Karuah River. All sites are separated for privacy and are all right on the edge of the river. There are plenty of opportunities for bird watching, hiking, swimming, kayaking, fishing (in summer), star gazing or just relaxing. All sites are site only and no toilet or shower facilities are provided. You will need to bring your own camping toilet or self contained caravan/ camper (dump point is located in Stroud township) We hope to make your stay a pleasurable one with many happy memories made. Weekend Trip to Willowbank

Jo and Ian were delightful to meet. They showed us to our space and were very engaging and helpful. They even explained where the shade would be at different times of the day which fantastic considering it was 40’ She Oaks was our first hipcamp and we are sold. It was serene, secluded and a few steps from the Karuah river which we swam all day and night. Tip- take water shoes. We will be back.

We stayed at the Rapids campsite and it lived up to its reputation… Perfect for keeping cool in the warm weather and beautiful to fall asleep listening to the water run over the rocks. Jo was friendly and professional, escorts you to your site, sites are well maintained a little dusty due to the hot weather and lack of rain. We enjoyed our stay but unfortunately cut it short true to the extreme heat wave. We will be back!!!

Andrew greeted us upon arrival and was very accomodating for where we wanted to camp. The property had several spaces to camp And lots of shade under trees. The area was very quiet and we saw some awesome wildlife late in the afternoon and early in the morning. The property was very tidy and well kept, and Andrew made himself available to us should we have needed assistance.

We had a wonderful time. Peace , quiet and a river to float and relax in was exactly what we needed after the chaos of xmas. The dog has a blast too! Old Ceder was very private and exclusive even though there were plenty of other campers nearby.

Weekend Trip to Willowbank

We loved camping at Willow tree!!! What a fabulous spot for children & families. The camps are lovely and spacious, generously spread out between camps that there is lots of privacy. The river is perfect for young children to swim in. The kids loved watching cows, listening to the birds and try to spot the platypus. Our lovely host Jo was warm, welcoming and hospitable to us from the second we arrived. We will definitely be coming back to Willow Tree again soon!!

Had a great time camping at Delhuntie! Such a beautiful location, and the swimmable pond is an awesome addition. The ground is nice and flat as well so perfect for set ups. Really close to the local town but definitely doesnt feel like it, and heaps of places to visit nearby. We visited at max capacity and we had tons of room and had really decent cell reception. The bathrooms are comfortable enough, although hot water can be a bit hit or miss if its busy. The hosts are very friendly and will check on you over the course of your stay. Super special and would definitely reccomend.
