Bajimba Eco Camp is part of our stunning family property nestled in the surrounds of Mt Bajimba in the Northern Tablelands of NSW, 40 minutes south east of Tenterfield. Historically known as a resting point for bullock teams hauling timber from the surrounding forests on their way to a saw mill in the lower valley, Bajimba is now home to Merv & Carey. We are just over 1080 metres above sea level, with 57 acres of eucalypt & grass tree forests, grass pastures, and a small (but mighty) organic farm. Accommodation options include "West View “situated at our highest elevation with incredible views from the deck, and "Bullock Camp" which can accommodate tents, caravans or motor homes. When making travel arrangements, note we are in NSW and therefore are 1 hour ahead of QLD during day light savings months. It is encouraged if possible that guests arrive before 6pm to ensure a smooth and stress free check in to camp. Being able to experience the sunset is all a part of your Bajimba stay! Amenities for both sites include an ablution block with hot shower and composting toilet, with steam sauna and wood-fired hot tub available by appointment. Please call at time of booking if hot tub and sauna facilities are required (especially for same-days bookings). Wood fired hot tubs require four hours to heat appropriately. Also note that all toiletries are provided to ensure that our critical farm ecosystem is maintained. When staying at “West View”, we supply Tea, Coffee, Muesli, Full Cream Milk, fresh Eggs from our Hens, Salt & Pepper, Olive Oil, Cast Iron cook ware and a portable sink for cleaning Utensils etc. Also supplied are Plates, Knives & Forks etc. Portable Gas Cooker also supplied if not using the Fire Pit. Llandillo is a picturesque 700 acre property located 11 kms from Emmaville, and 55kms from Glen Innes in the northern New England region. It has 2kms of Severn river access along its southern boundary, which offers great fishing and wildlife watching opportunities. We run a small sheep farming enterprise on the northern more open half of the property, and the southern part running down to the river is natural bushland. Activities include fishing, bushwalking, mountain biking, fossicking, bird watching or getting to know some of our much adored farm animals. We offer accommodation in our a two-bedroom cabin. Our homely cabin offers a tranquil place to stay and enjoy the sounds of birds singing in the trees. Our cabin includes one double bed, two single beds and two double lounges that turn into sofa beds. We have a friendly old Wallaroo who lives around the cabin. Many other wallaby’s and kangaroos can be seen from the windows. It is a great place to relax reading a good book, catch up on well deserved rest or use as a base for outdoor activities. The cabin also has a large firepit out the back where our guests are welcome to have a campfire or cook a meal over the coals. Firewood will be supplied. There is a picnic area with a large open firepit and toilet just meters from the waters edge. Many unique animals have been seen at the river, including spotted Quolls, Platypus, fireflies, Deer, Goats, Kangaroos, wallabies and many species of birds. Guests are able to walk the entire 2km of river fishing or just enjoying the free flowing water. Nine times out of ten Murray Cod are caught along any part of the river on our fishing adventures. We hired the wood fired hot tub which is 300mtrs down from the tent next to Merv's cute little home! The bed was so comfortable, they have everything you need to enjoy your stay! We had such a fantastic time at this farm stay! Vicky and John were incredible hosts - so friendly and welcoming, and they kept us well stocked with firewood the whole time. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful and full of amazing wildlife! We saw so many animals! It’s the perfect spot to relax, unwind, and enjoy nature. One of the most thoughtful, private & romantic escapes! Merv and his wife have done a beautiful job at creating a unique escape that mixes comfort & romance with nature & back-to-basics. Fresh eggs from their chickens and a bottle of wine on arrival was a lovely touch. The tent comes equipped with everything you’d need to enjoy your stay, including warm ponchos for the cooler months. The hot sauna & hot tub under the stars is a MUST DO! We didn’t want to get out! The absolute cherry on top is that this is all dog friendly - such a rare find but it made our stay even more special to be able to share it with our fur-baby. We will be back! Thank you again.

Eden Vale Shearing Sheds – Rustic Escape with All the Perks We absolutely loved our stay at Eden Vale Shearing Sheds. It’s the perfect in-between of camping and a cabin – rustic and charming, but with all the essentials: electricity, a fridge, kitchen, comfy beds, and a hot shower. There’s even a fireplace inside for those chilly nights, and a clean toilet just outside. If your stay is in winter, we highly recommend a heated blanket and warm clothing and bedding as it gets very cold. The property is peaceful and spacious, with plenty of room to wander and explore. Access requires crossing a creek, so if there’s been rain, a 4WD is highly recommended. The hosts were attentive and kept our fire wood atocked and very friendly, love that they can share their family farm with all of us, Such a unique and relaxing spot – we’ll definitely be back!

Merv's place was the perfect weekend getaway! He's thought of everything and was the perfect host! The bell tent was so cosy and warm with loads sweet extras like got water bottles and DELICIOUS home made relish, the sauna and hot tub were sublime under the starry sky, and the views onto the ranges are magnificent. We didn't mind the cold winter weather at all, it was the perfect reset we had been craving! Our doggo had a blast cruising around too. Highly recommend!

3 nights at BAJIMBA Eco Camping and Farm Stay

Where do I start! My partner and I visited Merv & Carey’s beautiful bell tent at Bajimba eco camp with our dog Murphy for our anniversary getaway this winter. From the moment we got there, we were in awe of the painted landscape and the sense of calm that filled us each day, I only regret we hadn’t booked for the whole week! Our mornings were spent watching the birds dance around the trees and the wallaroos peep at us from the tall grass, and the evenings treated us to burning sunsets and red wine while we turned our potatoes in the fire. There’s a little gas stove and some crockery, and some homemade leech repellant too (which came in handy). Oh, and those fresh eggs for brekky were no joke! So delicious 🤤 We were also lucky enough to have a little rain while we used the wood-fired sauna & hot tub, a feeling of relaxation I won’t soon forget 😍 We had such a wonderful time at Bajimba we can’t stop yapping to everyone we know all about it - we just can’t wait to come back! Thank you again to Merv & Carey for everything ❤️ you have such a beautiful property and you’re doing some amazing work there!!
