Windowrie Estate is a family-owned wine company based 15Km from Canowindra and 30 Km from Cowra. The property consists of 300 acres of vineyards and a working winery located on the western end of the farm.In wet weather, you'll need a 4WD to access the last 100m Access to paddocks is over some rocks so low clearance vehicles not recommended.Dog friendly. No amenities so campers need to have own toilet and leave no trace. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place.

Canowindra Country Camp

Come and enjoy this grassy campsite located on the outskirts of Canowindra.

Canowindra is known as the Hotair Balloon Capital of Australia, most mornings you wake to find a balloon floating in the sky. 

Venture to the Main Street and see the historic building’s. Canowindra is also home of the Fish Fossil Museum, so much to explore.

Campers are welcome to enjoy a campfire, local regulations permitting.

Camping in the Rosnay Olive Grove

Rosnay is a pioneering organic farm in the Central West. 

The Statham family moved to Rosnay in 1996 and began renovating the run down farm using organic and biodynamic methods. They planted the first vines in 1997, and olives in 1999, as well as thousands of native trees, all planted and grown without any chemicals. 

The exclusive camping area is on the banks of a old farm dam in the middle of the olive grove. There are sheep and alpacas, and plenty of birds and kangaroos living there too. 

For those who prefer not to sleep out in the elements, we also offer a lovely farmstay guest house by direct booking.

Rosnay is proud to be part of Rivers Road Organic Farms, an organic farming community title project.

Wendouree Creek Camp

Wendouree Creek Paddock, situated near Parkes in New South Wales, is a vibrant regeneration area perfect for those seeking a true off-grid camping experience. The paddock does not provide any facilities, making it essential for visitors to come prepared with their own off-grid amenities.

As you explore the landscape, you'll find various native flora and fauna thriving in their natural habitat. The gentle sounds of the creek and the rustling leaves create a soothing backdrop, perfect for relaxation and reflection. Unique artistic installations, such as creatively designed bird feeders made from recycled materials, add a whimsical touch to the environment while supporting local wildlife.

It's a 5 minute drive to amenities including the local pool, shops, cafes and pubs.

We are less than an hour's drive​ to national parks, canoeing or kayaking on the Lachlan River, Wyangala dam for fishing, boating or skiing, hiking (Koorawatha Falls), 4W Driving (Mount Canobolas), and all of the Orange and Cowra wine region for tastings at the cellar doors.

Food, drink, the great outdoors and even live music entertainment, truly Canowindra has it all.

Our property proudly boasts the original miner's cottage circa 1860, which is one of the oldest original buildings in the area.

No amenities at the campsites currently. Campers must be 100% self contained and bring their own camping toilet and shower.
Pets welcome but must be kept under control, leashed, and tethered at all times.

Horses considered. Must bring own portable yard, feed, and water. Please message us for a chat.
