Sitting on the banks of Murray River, Buronga offers a gateway to the best of Victoria and many caravan camping opportunities. Southeast, Kemendok National Park offers something for everyone, including angling, birdwatching, and hiking. Caravanners can lounge by the river, or explore the park’s red gum forests and discover indigenous flora and fauna. Caravan campgrounds are always nearby, equipped with amenities such as potable water, accommodations for slideouts, and pull-through sites. Hattah-Kulkyne National Park is a wonder of low scrub, native pine woodland and waterways, including Hattah Lakes. Go biking, walking, birding, and canoeing—all provide plenty of opportunities to see the wildlife. Caravan campsites in and around the park include potable water, wood-burning fireplaces, and rubbish bins. To the northeast, World-Heritage-Area Mungo National Park features important archaeological finds, including human skeletal remains, tools, and animal bones, alongside wildlife and majestic landscapes to explore by foot or 4WD. Nearby, motorhomes are welcome at caravan parks with flush toilets, showers, and firepits.
