If you’re a rock climber, naturalist, or outlaw Robber’s Cave State Park is gonna become your go to spot! Nestled in the San Bois Mountains, these hilly woodlands have an air of mystery and adventure to them that you should not miss. Robber’s Cave is a “must do” hike, over rugged terrain and through the forest to the cave where outlaw Jesse James was in hiding. You won’t wanna hide out long tho’, especially with all the rock climbing and rappelling to be had. Hikes through wildlife management areas, stellar fishing on Lake Carlton, and canoe rides galore will keep you pumped the whole weekend! There’s plenty of camping and cabin options, some with killer lake views. Those who want to relax can just kick it at the pool, or enjoy a ranger program at the amphitheatre. There’s no need to feel like an outlaw at Robber’s Cave, just a chance to be an adventurer who knows a thing or two about hangin’ outside!
