We loved this place! It was very quiet and secluded. We were even lucky enough to stop the northern lights!

We loved the location - it was close to many attractions and trails that we wanted to checkout! It was great that there was a few camp sites on the land to choose from. It was an amazing place to stargaze and we were able to see a bit of the northern lights at one point as well! Definitely recommend.
The farm was great. We took the furthest back spot which was very large and had beautiful oak tress for some shade; there was a nice breeze up there. Plenty of spots to choose from to set up our tents, and a small rock fire pit which worked well for us. There were three or so other spots closer to the road, but still far enough away to feel like camping in the woods. It was nice to be so close to town and activities, and it was really easy to find. Would recommend if you're looking for a place close to town to camp!

We loved van camping on Julie's land! The property was easy to find and the sites easy to identify. We were the only ones there the first three nights of our four night day. Other than a little bit of road traffic sounds, and we chose to use the site closest to the road so it may be different on the further back sites, it was quiet and peaceful. If we make another trip up to the UP, we definitely would stay on this farm again! It was so convenient to get to all the places the area had to offer that we wanted to do and see. Thank you, Julie!

Heads up on terrain. I understand dispersed camping is rustic, but I have no idea based on description what I was in for ......I felt safe for the night which is what I was after , and host was VERY responsive.....just not one I will be back to.
Beautiful property. Driveway was a bit difficult to spot as there is just a mowed path that leads back in. Very limited for our 18' travel trailer. Another camper graciously allowed us to share the front spot as our trailer could not get to the spots farther back in. There was some road noise but it was doable.
Very private and remote setting. loved our stay. Love Munising.

The perfect spot! A little bit of a hidden entrance but that just means you’re really immersed in nature. The meadows, forest and orchards are lovely and the pitches are quite separate so plenty of privacy. We would definitely stay again as very close to Munising and the Grocery store is less than 5 minute drive. Very easy to drive to different parts of the national park.

Easy to find. Pin led to clear google maps directions. Site as described. Beautiful field with clear spots to park. Private. We could park out of site of the road and the other hipcampers at the back site. We were close to the road but felt protected by the trees. Minimal road noise. We endured a deluge and the site drained well. Nice fire pit. We had a picnic table. Would happily return!

The driveway initially looked tight for our 32' 5th wheel, but after checking it out, we were able to get in. Tree branches at the entrance rubbed against our trailer but were small enough not to cause damage. There had just been a rain and we had to use 4 wheel drive to pull up to the site. Once there it was a nice spot. A little road noise but it did not cause us any problems. Great location to go to the Pictured Rocks cruises only a few miles away. Thank you for hosting!

We like the rustic character of Ted’s Farm. It’s a no longer used farm with wildflowers and high grass all around with a few trees. The campsites are mowed areas, quite apart from each other. Ours was level, on a hill with a couple of trees for shade, toward the back of the property. Nice views of fields and trees. Some car sounds from the road and kid & dog sounds from neighboring properties but not loud and not all the time and not an issue for us. Only issue of note might be that it’s a little hard to get your bearings and figure out the campsites, so I wouldn’t want to arrive near dark if that can be avoided. In all, it was probably our favorite campsites of the year!

This property was great! It’s a big open space without a house/dwelling on the property; mowed spaces with camp fire pits and wild flowers and orchards surrounding you. Definitely rustic, but definitely worth the price. We found the location great to hop into town for breakfast/dinner, and for lake access (10 min drive to total paradise).
Head to Sandy Point for a lovely beach time!!

Stayed 6 nights. Stayed toward the front and up top. Enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. Must be self-sustaining at this site. That was no problem. Within a few minutes of Pictured Ricks and Munising. A good launchpad for all we wanted to do in the area. Would stay there again. Road noise was noticeable at first, but didn’t notice after a while. Numerous dogs on adjacent properties like to serenade quite a bit, seemingly taking shifts. Appreciate the use of your place. Good price. Again, would stay here again if in the area.
It’s exactly as described! It’s seven minutes from pictured rocks boat tours and two minutes from a circle k where you can get coffee and use the bathroom.

It's a beautiful piece of property, close to Munising and very easy to get to. There are no amenities so be prepared. The wildflowers in July were gorgeous.
Beautiful and convenient location. Close to everything that you need while also giving you that camping getaway feel. Since it's first come first serve, if you can, choose a spot with good breeze to help shoo off the mosquitos. I'd come back for sure!

Ted’s farm was exactly what we were looking for. We were heading to Munising to explore Pictured Rocks and were looking for some peaceful, quiet camping near by. Ted’s farm is a beautiful piece of property with some trees, rolling hills and meadow. The camping spots are mowed so it is up to you to find where you want to set up camp. There were two other campers there but we didn’t even see or hear them until leaving the next morning. One word of warning, make sure to have bug spray or protective clothing.
Nice place with so many wild flowers! Nice variety of spots to choose from, even for a large camper. Very close to town, but didn't feel like it at all. We did, however, have to drive towards town a bit to get cell service. So maybe plan ahead and talk to Julie before you get there if you have any questions. Overall, I would stay here again. 😃

Plenty of room to set up camp. Mowed spots signified places available. Some places were closer to entrance or towards the back if this is your preference. Never met host the entire time I was there. Notify host of my arrival and they responded quickly. Very close to picture rock kayaking. Close to a very clean beach. Would. For the price you can't beat this hipcamp. Basic, private, and served it's purpose.
