We offer room to set up your tent with a picnic table, propane fire pit, drinking water and an outhouse. We look forward to seeing you soon!

For convenience, there’s an outhouse on-site and potable drinking water available right at the tap. While there's no parking directly at the sites, once you drive into the campground and drop your gear at your site we have a large parking area just a couple hundred feet away, ensuring easy access without sacrificing the peaceful, car-free vibe of the campsite.

Dwayne’s land is awesome. He has a fire pit on each camp site and the areas are level for the tent. There’s the sound of a river, that lulls you to sleep at night. The bathroom is clean and close by. I think it’s probably one of the best hip camps I’ve ever stayed at.

We had a fantastic stay camping in Dwayne's land, upon arrival Dwayne showed us around the campsite, explained where to get water and gave us local recommendations. We had some great conversations about the land and checked in on us in case we needed anything, which we appreciated very much. The campsite itself is clean, peaceful and I enjoyed using the propane fire pit provided. Additionally, the outhouse was private and clean. I do recommend bringing Deet mosquito repellent as the normal non deet repellent did not seem to do much for the relentless mosquitos. Overall, the campsite was great, I would stay here again.

We loved the campsite. Dwayne was really helpful in explaining all the facilities on site and also gave some really good suggestions on places to visit. The campsite has all the necessary facilities, but the only downside was that the washroom has a motion sensor light that doesn't work in the morning, meaning one has to use washroom in the dark. Other than this it was a great place and would visit again.

Very nice place and newly built. The restroom was really clean. Dwayne was a great host, really recommend this place. One con was only the mosquitoes, but you have to expect it in this location.

Had such a great time at camp! Dwayne was super helpful the whole way through—when we ran out of bug spray, he even had us covered. The toilet was really clean (big plus!) and the propane fire pit was a total game changer. Made the evenings so much more fun and cozy. Thanks for making the experience awesome!

Simply fantastic. One of the best Hipcamps I’ve been at, it was very clean and directions were spot on. Dwayne was friendly and I appreciated chatting with him. Environment was safe and very quiet. Would highly recommend. Also, very communicative via text - I booked the wrong night and he still let me stay as he had availability. Also, the propane fire was fantastic. Overall wonderful experience!!

Campground was clean & welcoming. Drinking water on site. Brand new out house was a short walk from campsite. Dwayne supplies each site with a propane fire pit so you can have a fire quickly & without struggle. Mosquitos are plentiful due to being in the woods and the river running behind the sites. Would def. Stay at Dwayne’s campsite again!

Dwayne and his campsites were fantastic. Provided propane for the fire pits and had a very clean porta potty to use. Only complaint was that there were a lot of mosquitoes but I think that is the nature of Golden.

Dwayne was awesome! We signed his guest book and he helped with local recommendations. Super nice guy. The sites were brand new and clean. The cutest washroom. An easy 10 mins away from highway 1 and 15 from golden. It’s on the same road as the skybridge. Overall we had a great time. Bring your bug spray.

My first time in Canada, so I needed a safe place to tent camp. The owner waited up for me to arrive late. They are very kind people. Of course like anywhere near a river it has bugs. bring bug spray and wear long sleeves. you cant cook on the propane fire provided, so bring your own cook top/ propane camp stove. bring water to brush your teeth

The Hideout campground provides great mountain scenery, is very clean and well-maintained. It’s conveniently situated just outside of Golden and close to all area attractions/activities. Dwayne is a really cool host and easy to work with. Bring lots of bug repellant and extra tent padding though!

Dwayne welcomed us onto his land with open arms. His warmth and generosity were appreciated and his stewardship of the forest was remarkable. Hideout #1 was beautifully manicured with shade trees and a flat tent pad. The washroom facility was clean and odourless. The pathway lights at night did not intrude on our wilderness experience and the nearby creek added ambience. Thank you Dwayne and family for a lovely stay and good luck.

A beautiful, forested campsite with a kind, thoughtful host. Nicely maintained and quiet. The propane firepit is a nice touch, makes it very easy to enjoy a morning and evening fire. Close enough to Golden to be convenient. We would return to Hospital Creek Hideaway.
