I bought my land in 1999. Back then I was the only one living on Austin rd past the end of the county road. Austin rd was still a gravel road then and so was Hanging Rock rd. Learn more about this land: Pitch a tent, bring your RV or something in between. Hunting fishing hiking relaxing in the trees. You can stay here and explore the Columbia river gorge, Mt Adams or Mt Hood, or head to the Yakima valley. Lots of deer and turkeys and other forest animals. Walli sturgeon and salmon are just some of the fish you can catch in the Columbia river or the Klickitat river. Pick huckleberries on the side of Mt Adams. Listen to the wind blowing in the tree tops as you rest and nap in the sun or shade. Territorial views and just 6 miles to town-close enough for beer and ice cream in the middle of the night( Sentry market open till 10pm). Maryhill museum is about 25 miles away. Biggs junction and I84 are just 20 miles and highway 97 is only 4 miles away, Toppenish wa is only 55 miles up north highway 97. Room for turning around big rv’s. Bring your grill and lawn chairs, mountain bikes or recumbents, Fence panels available for a temp dog kennel-limited availability. , No porta potties on site at this time. The guest bathroom accessed through the back door of the mobile home is available for use you will need to bring your own towels, soap ect. Right now there is wifi available at the mobile home by starlink. we hope to be able to extend it to the green pole barn building in the near future. Garbage can be dropped off down by the mobile home in closed garbage bags. At this time you will need to bring your own firewood and grills. Hope to have fire wood for purchase next year as well as fire pits/grills on site. Some rolling terrain, lots of flat spots for camp. The road in is a little rough but my Audi TT doesn't have trouble except when the snow melts and turns into slush. Lots of privacy because the county road does not run past my place and each camp site is aprox 1.5 acres each so you have room for social distancing and privacy or you can find a spot that looks good to you and make your own camp. Located 1/2 mile off of the paved county road. only 3 neighbors within half a mile( the trees are thick enough you probably won't see them ever). Burn ban in effect June 1st till October 1st.

As a community of farmers and ranchers we move at a different pace. Here at The Dirt E Moor, we want you to be able to experience a piece of that. My partner has grown up in the area, traveled the world, and at the end of it, decided this is where he wanted to raise his family. His parents run the town store, built around 1903. Our children have dug and played in the creek. Bringing in treasures they have found like old horseshoes from where the blacksmith was located. Welcome to my property that sits below the Goldendale Observatory. In fact, there are hiking trails right behind (to the east) the property that will take you right up to the State Park. From April to September, the Observatory is open Thursday-Sunday from 3pm-5pm for the Solar Show and from 9pm-Midnight for the Evening Show. More information is on their website or through Washington State Parks website. My dream at 8 years of age was to have my horse in my own backyard. This dream finally came true when I moved out to Central Washington in 2017. Over the years I have had bunnies, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, Scottish Highlands and, of course, my horse Tigger. Due to major life changes, Tigger and the Highlands are the only animals (other than dogs & cats) on the property. By the end of the summer, it will only be my horse. Situated on the outskirts of town and on the West side of Observatory Hill, Goldendale has the ONLY public observatory in the Pacific Northwest. It was built in 1973 and received a major renovation in 2019/2020. Both the town and Klickitat county have light ordinances aimed at protecting the dark sky that have been in place since the early 1980s. Seeing all of the stars, and many times planets, are just breathtaking. If it's a full moon night or even nearly full moon, it lights up the sky. I love my little oasis, and I love to share it with others. As a friendly reminder, if you bring your vehicle onto our property it could be scratched from hooves or horns. The animals are curious and will want to checkout the new things in their pasture. This Spring/Summer season (2024) my youngest sister, Hannah, is spending the summer with her little ones (6yo & 4yo), so she will be your main contact.

FLOWERS ARE STILL IN BLOOM! You don't want to miss the views at Olson Vista! It will be an experience you will not forget, I promise you! You will take in the unforgettable views at sunrise and sunset of Mt. Adams, Mt. Rainier, Swale Canyon, and wind turbines on the east horizon. The property is perched on the northside of Stacker Butte at 2,200 ft. elevation and includes a large homesite that is carved out of the side of the mountain which is perfect for campers, vans, a teardrop, or a small trailer. It can be breezy, but it often makes it pleasant depending on the time of year. When the fire ban is not in effect, feel free to bring your solo stove to enjoy the evening. No firepit is available onsite. A 0.1 mile hiking trail will will lead you to a meadow with more flowers and views, so bring your chair. There is a scrub oak woods that you will walk through, and intermittent creek that is dry in the Summer and Fall. Feel free to explore around! We often see deer and other wildlife on the property so bring your binoculars for your viewing pleasure. A compost toilet is onsite and we will provide a code and directions for those who stay. There is an outdoor shower that is not currently up and running. Water is not available as of yet. so make sure to bring your own. If you are feeling up for it, walk up the hill 3/4 mile (1,000 ft of gain) to the top of Stacker Butte for more views which include the Columbia River! This leads into the trail systems of Columbia Hills State Park. Nearby Lyle and White Salmon will provide you with groceries, water activities, wineries and more hiking. Additionally, the east end of the Klickitat trail is less than a mile from the property that includes biking and hiking. The property has a steep shared driveway with 1154 Centerville Hwy, so please be respectful and drive slow and use 4WD if available.

Our ranch has been here since the 1940's and has decreased in size since its days as a potato farm. The Alpacas are shy but curious. They are not dangerous but do not like dogs 🐕‍🦺 and other small animals. (Please keep pets on a leash) We remove the Alpacas and mow the camping areas but please keep in mind that this is a pasture that is used when campers are not present. Please be prepared.
