Creek & Cottonwoods RV Camping

Because of Wyoming's elevation and clear skies, it is a fantastic place to observe stars. Glenrock lies about half way between Casper and Douglas.

The vibe at Creek & Cottonwoods RV Camping
Karen was very friendly and worked hard to get everyone situated and satisfied. You won't be coming here to see a total eclipse, of course, but the lower camp had cottonwood trees and a nice, little creek. The dark sky was amazing with only a little light pollution to the north from the small town of Glenrock and to the west from Casper. The milky way was very bright.
Owners are super nice. The port a pot was clean. Nothing spectacular about the location.
Karen and Mike did a great job in organizing this event!! Everything was wonderfully planned. Thanks for a great eclipse experience!
We had a great view of the solar eclipse and the site was super easy to find right off of the highway. If you're looking for some place remote, this isn't it, but if you're looking for something with easy access to the highway and easy to find, this is the place. Note - there was a lower campsite in the trees that may have felt a little more remote and removed from the highway. It was right down by the creek, and very pretty. Just be sure to bring bug spray for that site since the mosquitos are also attracted to the water.
Karen was a very friendly host and easy to communicate with. She also provided excellent directions in advance of our stay.
