Kind, clean, and quiet
This place is a gem! Gerald was the friendliest person I’ve met since Covid, and he was still safe-in his mask. He helped me with good routes for the rest of my trip, and was accommodating in all ways. And, the site was wonderfully private and quiet which has been lacking on the rest of my Hipcamp stays this past week! I only wish everywhere felt like Gerald’s!
Comfortable on the edge of cody.
Great overnight stay near Cody. It’s close to the main highway but it gets quiet at night. We slept well. Nice platform and picnic table to hang out, feels very private.
Road in as a little steep and bumpy, but we made it fine in our Ford Transit van which has no off-road upgrades.
Gerald is delightful and very helpful.
Gerald’s spot was perfect as a basecamp to explore Yellowstone - about one hour to the east entrance of the park. We had a 19’ Airstream Bambi towed w our Audi and were able to get it into the spot. The spot is clean, has electric and water and dump, and Gerald went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Some nice touches at the spot including night time lighting, picnic table, and deck,
Comfortable, welcoming, private
Very nice, clean, private site; close to town as well. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Site is well maintained and clean. We will return! Thank you!
Located just 1hr from the east entrance of Yellowstone. The drive into Yellowstone from geralds campground is breathtaking we enjoyed every minute of it. The most beautiful scenic drive you could ask for felt like a 20min drive because of how wonderful it was.
Although we never got the chance to meet Gerald he was a great host. Very responsive and extremely helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
One of our favorite hip camps ever
Great, private, beautifully peaceful spot to park for the night. Gerald is an RV/trailer traveler himself and this site is set up to make things easy for the guest. 15amp, 30amp, 50amp power service avail. Good clean fresh water hook up AND a sewer drain if you need to dump. Nice picnic table for meals, solar lights so you don't trip in the dark while looking at the beautiful night sky. Big lawn area for relaxing / yoga...and Gerald is a great human on top of it all. We loved this spot.
