Great views and nice vibe.
Gorgeous views and very chill. Good choice of a variety of site types. Very chill. Kind of a roll-with-it sort of atmosphere which worked well for us. I could be super picky but the reality is that my girlfriend and I will go right back here next time we want to be in this area ...
Nice and relaxing; we'll be back
There are lots of good things to say about Cedar Hills. The setting is very pretty, and the sites all seem cozy and well-kept. It has an easy-going, comfortable atmosphere perfect for a relaxing escape from the constraints of daily routine.
During our visit, the various amenities were either in good condition or in the process of being upgraded. The staff and other guests were generally pleasant and in no way overbearing (people could pretty much tell when exchanging pleasantries was fine or when a simple wave was enough). Any minor nitpicks just aren't worth mentioning. We had a very nice, relaxing experience in the buff in the bluffs, and we plan to visit again someday.
It might seem obvious, but consider this a reminder to have a plan for mosquitoes. We were fine in our area, but the heavily-treed areas seemed worse.
I have to say, I was a little nervous going into this weekend. I am not a clothing optional type of person, but the location seemed perfect and there were flush toilets and showers. I was not disappointed! Clean, private, great firewood and a friendly atmosphere. Sauk City was great and we canoed down the Wisconsin River. All the campers were very chill and friendly. I will absolutely be back. Dennis went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. Great place! (Pack your mosquito spray!)
Nude camping is amazing!
The camp ground was extremely well kept and clean. If you haven’t experienced nude camping, you are missing out! Bring sunscreen;) Everyone makes you feel very welcome and nude is normal there! Definitely a huge perk of the trip!
