Enjoyed our first experience with HipCamp at Breakaway Stables! Beautiful setting with friendly hosts, dogs, and horses all around. At first it felt a little strange camping in someone's "backyard", but after we got set up, it was all good. If you're passing through, we recommend this as a stopping point along the way.
We loved this site! Although we got there on a rainy day, the horses and beautiful countryside still gave us a great experience. In the hosts back yard is a fire pit, firewood and chairs provided. You are walking distance from the host's house, however we still felt like we had plenty of privacy. If you're a horse lover, highly recommend.
Sara was an awesome hostess! We felt so welcome and at home. The weather was terrible when we arrived and they graciously offered to have us stay in their home if necessary. I would definitely stay there again and would definitely recommend. It was a very beautiful area and property as well.
Gorgeous views. You are camping in their backyard but I felt like we had plenty of privacy. Sara is great at responding quickly and hospitable. Outhouse is across the yard, and very clean and pleasant. I was worried that being on a horse farm it had the potential of being smelly but there were only the sweet smells of trees and the breeze. Overall lovely stay.
Beautiful area and hosts were kind enough to accept us at the last minute, have a fire going for us on arrival, and totally help us with our confusion trying to find them! We will come back in better weather and hope to get to know you all more :-) thanks!!
