Some seasonal views, occurrences and sightings at Serene Acres:  Pink Rhododendrons May 15 to about May 25th; Honeysuckle aroma in the air from late May to about June 10th; 1000s of fireflies in the night sky all summer  ; Robins in the grass May 1st to end of summer; occasional deer and turkeys grazing in the wild grass adjacent to the mountain ; when  creek running, small waterfalls in Pipestem Creek.

Black walnuts for sale  available Sept 20th to Oct 30th or so.

Lots of space and quiet privacy , sites are in a semi-secluded location surrounded on one side by a beautiful , rocky creek , trees on the north and a green mountain on the east and a stockade privacy fence on the south ;  hiking trails available  in near by state parks ; many water sports available in the Bluestone Lake, the New River and  the Greenbrier River, and a  white water rafting concession (Cantrell's) on the by-pass of Hinton, WV , 5 miles north of us.   Family and individual activities also at Pipestem State Park, only 5 miles south of us.

1 Full hookup site available (Site No 1) (elec, water and sewer) $20 on weekends and $15.00 weeknights. Site No 1 has a wood deck and a treadmill   ; back-in to the site unless a motorhome; 2 other sites (Sites 2 & 3)  have  water and electric only but a dump station available ; $15 weekends and $10 weeknights (Picnic table available at all sites)   

Monthly rate:  $350.00 per month (year  round if you can  take the cold!) .

Current amenities:    Picnic table , Wood Platform (adjacent to your RV) at Site No 1, Cooking Grill , Stockade privacy fence ,  Ash and Cedar firewood available at  $5.50 per 0.75 cu ft,  ; free first night 0.25 cu ft load of firewood

A nice fitness walk is available around the periphery of the camping area. Treadmill available at Site No 1. If you like wild, mountain-climbing, that is also adjacent to the campsites.

Current rules:   No firearms of any kind;  lights out policy: 11 PM ; Large dogs must be kept on leash ; continuously barking dogs are not accepted for the peace and quiet of the other guests

This property is meant for  people who want a quiet place to stay but with options for lots of things to do in Summers and adjacent counties West Virginia . Motorhomes are the preferred vehicles but late model travel trailers still OK .
