Totally worth it!
This site is a little farther of a treck from the river and hot springs. I would probably stay down on the creek or river next time but if those sites weren’t available I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this site again. Chris had the fire going and sauna lit when we arrived and kept us stocked with wood. He even brought us extra chairs when he realized we were one chair short. You can easily walk down to the river and about 15 minutes to the hot springs. If you have a blow up paddle board I would certainly bring that and your floaties for hot weather. The property is immaculate and the river, creek and hot springs were amazing. Chris the camp host swings by to make sure you don’t need anything but otherwise leaves you to your peace and quiet. We are going back for sure!
This campsite made my trip!
Fantastic spot with a view and a sauna and a short hike to a natural hot spring. Everything was clean, quiet and peaceful. Host was amazing - there for everything I needed but invisible otherwise. Would seek this spot out again next time I’m in the area.
Enjoyed watching the Osprey and Pileated Woodpecker.
The site advertised with electrical hookup doesn’t really exist anymore, but the hosts accommodated us with our teardrop (even though we spent some time during setup remove dog poop from our immediate camp site).
The sauna has been moved down by the river where the tent sites are located. It was really nice, but beware, there are no showers available and the river is COLD.
The hot spring is nice, if you can get into it. Our first day it wasn’t crowded, but Sunday it was overrun with people. The spring is small, so only a handful of bodies can soak at a time, and there are no rules for how long you can stay in. On the second day we waited over an hour and finally gave up. I am not even sure where all the people kept coming from but don’t think they were all campers on the property ☹️ The advert led us to believe it would be much less crowded.
Chris, our camp host was great, helped us get settled and set us up with a fire pit and wood.
For $60 a night we expected a less crowded, more intimate experience with Sauna, hot spring, shower.
A bit disappointing but we enjoyed our adventure regardless.
