Ravensong Retreat
Quirky campsite with a great view
Ravensong Retreat was wonderful. The site was fairly private, minus a few houses about 200 yards above. The trees seem to block the view of the homes and are unnoticeable from the site. The tent area is a bit small and has a bit of an incline, which makes staying in one spot while sleeping difficult. Wood chips have been laid in the tent area as well. There was pretty loud excavation sounds all weekend, including until 10:45pm on the Sunday night before Memorial Day. The work seemed temporary and completely out of the hosts control so I didn’t deem it as an issue at all, just something to keep in mind. When we arrived back at the site on our third day, we came to a new bundle of firewood at the top of the trail. Overall the site was awesome and we will definitely come visit again.

This place was the perfect location for a quick one night van camping before heading off via ferry to Victoria, B.C. The spot was gravel and level, with a picnic table and a larger tractor nearby. No bathrooms or water made it a bit tricky but we managed (we had water in our van and knew how to dig a hole). All in all a great, simple stay at Ravensong Retreat.

Seth's little slice of woods at the edge of a two-sheep meadow has everything you need for a private camping trip that is located a short drive from downtown Port Angeles.
There is room for a two person backpacking tent, a couple of chairs around the awesome firepit (for which Seth provides wood), and a hammock or two in the trees so that you can lookout to the Strait and watch the ships pass and Vancouver Island appear as the marine layer burns off.
We didn't hear a single car pass on the dirt road just about 30 feet up the dirt path from the road. The path is not very steep, but it is a dirt path, which is not flat. We didn't find it to be an issue at all!
Enjoy this little, quiet, private camp spot!

Possibly the ultimate spot to camp if you're looking for a quiet, no fuss experience.
We arrived, walked down a well marked path to a firepit. Around the fire area are several flattened areas to set up tents. Buckets were provided for trash/recycling. Firewood was provided. Logs for sitting were already positioned perfectly! We never personally met the host, but communication online was very easy (honestly, it was a pretty perfect system for us).
The campsite overlooks water in the distance (we could see large cruise ships headed out to sea), and closer there were some sheep at the bottom of the hill.
Being near Port Angeles, it's also a very convenient location for visiting everywhere in the Olympic National Park - which is probably the biggest advantage of this location. A very pleasant experience all around. I'd absolutely visit again!

The campsite was beautiful (cool location with great upkeep) and the directions to it were spot-on.
