We absolutely love our property her on Little Island. We have been working hard at updating our barns and land. We are excited to be able to share it with others. Learn more about this land: This is now a working farm with horses, donkeys and alpacas. Approximately 40 acres of fairly flat land her on East Little Island in Cathlamet, WA. Surrounded by mountain ranges. Little Island is a part of Puget Island with Bernie Slough running between them and they are surrounded by the Columbia River. Property has approximately a 1 1/2 mile, maintained walking trail around the ditches where you can also enjoy seeing wildlife.... White tailed deer, birds, frogs with some as big as a dinner plates and Nutria. On the southwest part of the property we have a small boat launch for kayak's and canoe's. Bernie Slough is a great place to kayak, this slough does flow in and out of the Columbia River. We offer 8 camping areas, with our property being large we allow our campers to pick their spot. We have 3 barns which we call the community area. It has a large fire pit, porta potty . Bad Mitten/Volly ball net, horse shoes , just return after use. Have  A big boat? No problem. Elochoman Slough Marina is 2.7  . On the Island is also Sevensen Boat Ramp Port Dist. #2  and only 3.1 miles away. The Columbia River has beautiful scenery great for just enjoying the water and fishing.

These hosts are so warm and welcoming. I showed up, off-season, on short notice, and arrived just before dusk. They had mowed a place for me and put out a picnic table. Three people were out to welcome me and make sure all was good.

Amazing start nights.
The hosts were the best. They welcomed us, told us about everything, and invited us to visit their livestock, including alpacas, chickens, a vey vocal donky, a goat, and Nigel. You gotta meet Nigel. Lots of games and activity options in the big barn, so there was plenty to do. Super view of the night sky. Next time we bring the telescope. It was windy in the late afternoon and eavening so be prepared for that. They did provide a portable fire pit and firewood, but bring a bundle just in case. Spacious spots. Lots of wildlife. Only down side was Port-a-potty could use a little attention. Sort of dirty but it was refreshed and a new one went out the day we left. We did enjoy the solitude, and convenience of drive up camping. We would highly recommend the Litte Island. We will certainly go back in the future.

Cute open spot, felt very safe
Super nice spot. Can get a little windy but we just used our car to block the wind. The neighbors have a donkey and rooster that are very vocal but we found that charming. The drive getting to the spot was beautiful. Would definitely be back if we were in the area.

Would return!
If, like me, you want to get away from people and relax in nature, this place checks all the boxes! Super quiet, except for the donkey who is hilarious. Pretty views. We saw a beautiful sunset and an even more amazing full moon rise. Would 100% recommend.

Two dogs and a short bus
We loved the mornings, watching fog/marine layer lift from the fields while drinking our coffee. The sunsets where amazing while cooking dinner, playing skipo listening to Mariners ball games! We had Verizon and AT&T phones and had service. Hentz the SiriusXM mariner’s ball game. Lots of different types of birds to watch. The property had a nice cool breeze our 4 night/ 5 day stay. Last minute trip for us, to beat the heat of the willamette valley. The sound of bullfrogs, neighbors donkey and the random rooster I already miss. Very relaxing very good vibes! Our apartment dogs loved pretending to be farm dogs for 5 days! Property has common barn for entertainment maybe when weather is not well? Common barn had tables, chairs, games etc… water was available at one end of barn. Out house was clean and serviced while on our stay. Portable fire pits were available. We seen a few stacked at edge of field so we helped our selfs to one and brought it to our camp spot. We are a self contained skoolie. We really had no needs for any hook ups. Only negative was we thought we would be closer to water for dogs to swim….. you could walk to water but much to far for us… This was our 1st experience with “Hipcamp.” THANK YOU Shelly and family for allowing us to enjoy your little piece of the world!
